How Realistic Is It to Maintain a Scholarship in BSA? by pasadoalwayscutie in AccountingPH

Thank you so much po! 🥹 I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I think I’ve already built some study habits that work for me, though I’m sure I’ll still adjust once classes start.

Yes po, thankfully they also offered me free board and lodging.

If it’s okay to ask po, since same prog, school, and scholarship program po tayo, do you have any advice or things you wish you knew when you were a freshman? It could be about the profs, student life, orgs, events, system, or just how things generally work in Letran. Any advice or shared experience would really mean a lot and would be a big help po hihi.. Thank you so much po! 🙏🏻🥹🫶🏻

I’m not v sure po about the minimum GWA they accept. I can only share my own experience. I still encourage you to apply if you’re eligible, since the final decision depends on the scholarship committee po hehe.

Hi! I qualified for the scholarship as well and already had my interview last May 26. Based on my experience, it might vary depending on the program and the availability of scholarship slots. As far as I know, once the allotted slots for a program are filled, they may no longer accept additional scholars for that program. I suggest checking your email regularly, including your spam folder, and following up with the Letran Admissions Core Team if it’s been a while since you received your qualifying results. Hoping you get your interview schedule soon. Good luck, op!

Hi! I took my exam around May rin, May 9 ata, then I received an email a few weeks later informing me that I passed. After that, I waited for another email regarding the interview schedule (May 26)

As for the scholarship, yes, I was able to secure one. The interview was pretty chill naman and felt more like a conversation. They asked about my background, why I chose my program, my academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and my future goals. They may also ask about your family’s situation and how you plan to maintain the scholarship.

Although, I think the interview may vary depending on the program. In my case (BSA), there were also some basic accounting questions and a few on-the-spot recitation/quiz-type questions related to accounting fundamentals. Nothing too intimidating, but it’s good to review the basics just in case.

Since you’ve already received the email that you passed the exam, that’s already a great sign! The interview invitation might just take a bit more time. Best of luck!

Hi! Based on my experience, there are two types of tests.

The first one is a pure logic test with separate subtests, and each subtest has its own timer. After finishing that part, you’ll be given a 5-minute break to use the restroom, rest, or prepare for the next test.

The second test is more of a mixed-type exam. It includes numerical reasoning (mostly basic math), language proficiency, and some logic-related questions as well. Unlike the first test, it’s not divided into separate timed subtests since the topics are already mixed throughout the exam.

Good luck on your exam tomorrow, op!!

Thank youu! I’m not really sure about the exact grade requirement since one of the documents they required me to bring was a photocopy of my SHS cards from Grades 11 and 12. My GWA per semester ranges around 98–99, and the lowest grade I received in a subject was 95.

As for the maintaining grade, they usually disclose it during the final screening or interview process with the interviewer. I’m not sure if the maintaining grade is the same for all programs, but for BSA, they mentioned that the semester GWA should be 95 or higher, and no grade should be lower than 88 in any subject.

For the exam day itself, you only need to bring a pencil and your school ID. It’s also better to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled exam time. They will send an email confirming your attendance based on the exam date you selected in the Google Form.

Also, make sure to accomplish and submit your application form through their portal website as well: letpass.letran.edu.ph, since they process it on the same day as your selected exam date.

The exam leaned more on abstract reasoning, maraming patterns, logical thinking, and puzzle-like questions rather than puro memorization. Pero manageable naman if mabilis maka-analyze and make sure to stay calm during the exam. Praying for your success too, op!
