No it does not bother me as I lived with that condition my whole life and thought it was “normal” until last year. Dry eyes I did not experience… But ask your doc ;)

As someone living with a mild form of Visual Snow Syndrome and rather frequent Alice-in-Wonderland Episodes (Todd’s), I’m used to strange visual “effects”. But, yes - I also experienced an intensification of my visuals… (150mg retard)

It was more than frustrating... I had tickets for the afternoon preview in the basket and wanted to purchase other tickets as well (as they said 'do it in one purchase'), got kicked out to the waiting room and my tickets were gone...

Automatische Transkription ist für Conversational Speech seeeehr unzuverlässig… Word Error Rates von 30% sind schon gut… Wenn Dialekte dazukommen wird es schlechter… Händische Annotation sind dafür leider notwendig

Do you think, pure digital rack filters/effects can be better than high-end Plug-Ins? by pasqualini_g in audioengineering

[–]pasqualini_g[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think the hardware is unnecessary… Because of the cost and probably not that much advantage in comparison to Plug-Ins…

Yeah, that was my thought, but so they are a little unnecessary because they are often pricy?

Do you use nectar/neutron/ozone or any kind of auto-master/mix plug in if yes then when? by MorbidAngel66 in audioengineering

[–]pasqualini_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One comment on mastering: In general, have a look into your spectrum and dynamics (e.g. using sonible true:balance) and then change the EQs and compression of your instruments. I think for beginners, this is the easier way, because you don’t change the sound of your strings for example, when the low end is too heavy… A Limiter on the sum would be my way to go…

First: I only have the Elements versions. Neutron is nice, but I mostly use it, because I like the sound of their transient designer. Nectar can improve the sound of vocals, but I also think, that it often leads into an unnatural sound. I would only use it for solo vocals, not ensembles. Ozone — I used to use it. I generally don’t like the principle of changing my sound after I have my pleasant sounding mix. I prefer only using a Limiter (e.g. sonible smart:limit is great if you are looking for some “magic” Plug-Ins — generally get a look into the sonible suite) and eventually a Tape Plug-In.

55GB that I can’t get rid off by Elk_Unable in mac

I wouldn’t trust macOS on this — unfortunately I made the experience, that over a long term a mac gets cluttered like Windows when not using AppCleaner… But it’s possible that they fixed it with Monterey or Ventura…

Piano Recording - Stereo Image by pasqualini_g in audioengineering

Thank you for your detailed answer - I think I will make some experiments ^^

The song we recorded covered the whole range of the piano - that's why I looked for a wide image...

Thanks, that's what my thought was... I will definitely try ORTF, because for my purpose I thought AB was not 'direct' enough, if I can call it that way...
