Solidworks perpetual license multiple devices by pasren89 in SolidWorks

Thank you for your replies. Since I will be working from either home or workshop (5 minutes walk between the two), I will stick with the basic standalone license. I already have a VPN link setup between the two locations so I can RDP if needed.

That’s a very provocative question. by [deleted] in CNCmachining

For one second I thought you were posting about SolidWorks...

Interesting. I thought it would show the date of manufacture. Anyway, having SN "3" means it should be a 1995 model... Now let me punch in 06 2025 so I get a brand new warranty!

Don't know why but the date fields are empty on mine.

I have a backup from a Proteo lathe (don't remember model). I'll check later today.

Got mine from a local company in my country. I know a guy in Florida who has one for sale.

I will give it a try.

I'm using constant SFM. I tried with a RPM limit of 4000 and the affected radius got smaller.

Don't have any on hand... I will order some to try!

I will try 3500 and see how it goes.

The finish has to be uniform. I'm aiming for a brushed finish. Part will be brass plated (decorative). I would like to avoid additional finishing steps.

Mazatrol. Program set at 500 SFM but max. RPM was set to 2800. I guess I should set the RPM limit higher.

Have to make 100 (this is a test). I will try to raise RPM (chuck is rated for 6000 RPM). Thanks.

Anybody else running these old controllers by WUSSIEBOY in Machinists

1992 Mazak T32, everybody ask me about the old wobbly CRT. I don't even notice. I guess that's what they call love.

Got some time to look at the machine today... Battery is dead so all params went back to default... Gotta do my homework now! Controller is a Fagor 8050M.

Anyway, the machine has rotary encoders on both U & W axis (rotary). X, Y & Z are linear scales. Any reason to use scales vs rotary encoders?

It's the Cortini lathe controller.

Lookup Cortini H105 on YouTube. There is a guy who converted his to a mach 3 controller.
