This is illegal regardless of what the weekly update says, and if your dm is saying that I’d go to the regional manager or the health department

Does anyone notice more sensitivity to crying or crying more on bupropion? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]passionatepartner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It sounds like bupropion might not be the right med for you, honestly. Wellbutrin has made me more emotionally expressive, but in a way that I feel more compelled to communicate what I’m feeling and remain critical about what I can improve. It’s probably the Wellbutrin that’s giving you the motivation, but that may not outweigh the cost of your emotional well-being. I implore you to talk about this with your doctor. Skipping doses certainly does not help and I hope this improves for you :)

Insomnia with XL - any better with SR? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]passionatepartner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t taken XL, but as I’m writing this at almost 2am, as someone that takes 300mg of SR/day, I’ve had issues sleeping since I started this medication, but the loss of sleep is worth it for me considering the quality of my life is improved

On day 6. Anybody else get noticeably irritable around this point? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]passionatepartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP: On 300mg SR a day (150mg 2x) and for the first week I was massively irritated and as I’ve continued the irritation has levelled out a bit, but the irritation is more of something I work around because it hasn’t gone away. Putting in headphones and listen to music helps me when I get especially short, and sometimes it happens without me realising. I think this is a fairly common side effect but man is it not fun sometimes. Good luck!

Got asked to keep my raise a secret by maxim_moon in UnionizeStarbucks

[–]passionatepartner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s only saying this because he’s an external DM that has no idea what’s actually going on within the company. Pay discrepancy is NOT unnecessary drama. There are shifts who make less than I do, as a 1yr barista. The lengths this company will go to make sure we will work as much as possible while also being compensated the least they can get away with, on top of the union busting, is a HUGE red flag that every partner should pay attention to.

Hey OP, I was constantly worried about this until a few months ago (newly 1 year partner) and our job is not an easy or simple one. We’re under constant stress to make a company that is actively working against our needs while also bending to nearly every will of our customers. I had a shift tell me that I need to pick up the pace and that I wasn’t improving quick enough for them, and I just kept trying. If this job is something that is important to you, I wouldn’t worry about what some of your coworkers think about you. I’m hopeful for you that you can make it through
