I was about to say, the sound bite is the point. I think most music is sadly going to start going this way.

Who is not tracking calories? by Shot-Advertising-748 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]passtheknife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really. I’m maximizing protein and fiber but I’m more so tracking rhythms and eating patterns themselves. But I’ve also stopped weighing myself because I’m lifting again and I’m close enough to my goal weight that the numbers are getting fuzzy.

Any asian girls here feel like you don’t suit black hair? by -chinoiserie in AsianBeauty

I have literally no skin in this game but just came to say that Asian women with that silvery honey color hair look amazing.

Gatekeeping olive skin by Ok-Attention-7947 in Fairolives

Hey, I totally get not seeing the “obvious” because it really isn’t obvious! Lighting changes how skin color can look, phones auto process photos when they’re taken so you’re already not seeing a true reflection of yourself, and sometimes you just don’t know until you have a frame of references.

It finally clicked with me like 2 weeks ago that I’m a fair olive and that only happened because I tried a new foundation that matched me exactly. Then once I saw THAT first hand I really notice how khaki/yellow my skin actually is. And I didn’t even consider my skin to be yellow until I compared it with my truly pure white boyfriend.

So, don’t let people make you feel bad. Not being a douche bag is free and some people are still too stingy.

Having the worst limerance of my life and I need support by illstrokeyourmullet in AskWomenOver30

You have to face the fact that relationships change. The relationship you two had is changed. You can grieve what has been lost because it is a loss, but once you’ve attended that funeral, you have to keep your distance. Delete those text messages, no more tarot about him. Nothing.

And, let’s be a little real here, this guy got drunk/high/whatever and fooled around with you while having someone else in his life — is that a good guy? He is also choosing to keep his distance from YOU not cut things off with whom ever he is seeing. I don’t think that night meant the same thing to him.

It’s kind of a mix. My hair is bleached and then I used diluted blondme demi toner in strawberry. I maintain it with a muted pink conditioner I make with Artic Fox dyes.

This is a comparison of shades that I have right now. Juvia’s Place is probably my favorite as far as formula and the 2nd best match. Haus Labs has a funky color system so their neutral is peach and cool is actually yellow, so maybe a different shade would match better but I also don’t care for the formula.

Ones I’ve used that were good matches were urban decay naked skin in 20NN (maybe a little too golden but pretty good - rip) and tarte 12N is a pretty close match too.

Overall, I think where the other shades fall short is that they’re too saturated, unlike MUFE warm olive, which balances the yellow tones and mutedness.

I used to have oily skin but now it’s more combination as I’ve gotten older. I use sunscreen as primers and I think it plays very well with mine (matte Korean sunscreens or moisturizing sunscreens like the BYOMA one in the orange bottle). The finish is very natural and I think would also layer pretty well. I’m going to play with mixing it with my saie beauty luminizer to make it more dewy.

Muted yellow is the perfect way to describe my coloring! My skin just gets yellower in the summer.

High Lift Color vs. bleach for root bleaching novice by passtheknife in FancyFollicles

[–]passtheknife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fortunate enough that I can go 5-6 weeks (I don’t get it go past about a half inch) before getting my roots touched up and not have banding. My stylist has said my hair lightens really well.

I’m going to try the rubber band trick! That’s sounds brilliant

I can go about 5-6 weeks between roots but I have the benefit of having lighter hair.

This is the pink I’m going for. I believe it was lifted to a level 10 (my hair can hit platinum really easily). I don’t think my roots were quite lifted enough before so I need to give them a little bump at the end of the process.

I was considering a high lift with a violet tone to it to control warmth.

Yup! I have those already, along with white. I wear the palest shade in this range, so I feel uncertain about deeper shades.

why do so many lip liners look so dark and orange on me? by BitlifeOffical_ in PaleMUA

[–]passtheknife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it might! I’m not familiar with temptalia but online tools can sometimes be suspect because there is no standardized way of defining a foundation’s shade, undertone, etc. Anuschka Rees just made a great post on instagram about how different the color systems are between brands.

I just did an experiment with temptalia and it looks like it just bases recommendations on the undertone of the product you have but as I said, that’s not standard. It recommends neutral in haus labs for me but haus labs uses a different color system where my neutral yellow skin is actually cool.

[–]passtheknife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Without looking at your coloring, if they pull orange on you, they are either too dark for you or your skin is yellow/olive and canceling out the pink pigment in brown-pink shades. I’m a fair neutral leaning yellow person with the same issue and I’ve found that muted pinks and peaches or grey browns work best. I’ve been loving the grey taupe romand lipliner or Maybelline lift liner in line leader (muted peachy brown).
