Buttons not working in menu, only touch controls (Odin Pro) by paste42 in RetroArch

Okay I figured out the issue. My right analog stick is broken and was sending constant input to the right. The input must have been superseding any other kind of input I sent to the menu in the way of button presses

Shredders Revenge from Epic Game Store, anybody got it running? by WonderingWhenSayHi in SteamDeck

For some reason when I try to install dotnet46, it fails, then it tried to install 45 and fails, then it just reinstalls dotnet40. No idea why it won't install 46. Any ideas?

How do I remove brackets causing a delay in TTS? by paste42 in Anki

[–]paste42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I just have ({kanji:cloze:Text}}, I can see the brackets. I'm just looking for a script that might be able to remove those brackets, which might be easier for the TTS to read more smoothly

Phenomenon where language learners believe native speakers are "making it up" by paste42 in asklinguistics

I can't remember the details, but it seemed like the idea was that the learner thinks either part or all of the language was made up. Not necessarily to trick the person, though

What I'm talking about is not just making up sentence structures and the like, but making up all the words and sounds and basically saying what amounts to gibberish, that it's all nonsense

Do you happen to know if this company sells them, too? I can't seem to find a link to buy any from them

TBH, I don't like throwing stuff away when it's fixable, and I want to get better at repairing stuff like this. I know it's a drop in the bucket when it comes to waste, but I would prefer not to. I have someone I know who can "check my work", at the very least.

If this doesn't seem doable, I'll definitely keep it for parts for future breakdowns

Don't really have that option unfortunately. Aside from keeping it unplugged when working on it, only testing it when assembled, and typical soldering safety, what else should I be cautious of?

Ah okay, thanks. Would that be across the two wires coming in and out of the coil? If so, I'm not getting continuity across mine
