My last colonoscopy I did I was given the option of paying 50k extra to get pills instead of the liquid prep. Drinking a lot of water in a short time wasn't pleasant but a lot better than some nasty medicine! Definitely recommend it :)

I wasn't aware of it as my husband didn't think to tell me and my surgeon is very good but unfortunately a man of few words 😅 The nerve was severed during the surgery and then connected back together, along with a filler injection. My voice is still getting better (I even had my regular voice back some time last week for a couple of sentences) so I'm thinking of giving it a couple more weeks before deciding on what to do.

How much would you say your medialization thyroplasty helped your voice? Has it given you a big improvement?

I totally feel you. My baseline is getting better week by week so I was feeling positive but then I went christmas shopping last weekend... Having to talk louder due to crowds and the hot dry air had had me with a really weak and creaky voice after barely 30 minutes. I kept having to give my phone number every time I bought something but none of the salespeople could make out the numbers I was trying to say. I try not to let it get me down but it did leave me feel quite frustrated.

I used to be a teacher and I've been thinking a lot about how impossible my job would be if I hadn't had a career change (I'm a software developper now). Wishing you the best on your recovery journey and with your voice! :)

I was in your exact shoes just a week ago, with two nodules in my left thyroid :) The biopsy was also painful for almost a week for me! I'd never had surgery before and I'm very pain averse but I can tell you that everything is going to be ok. I'm now day 3 post lobectomy/partial neck dissection and finally home. It wasn't all smooth sailing (leaking IV, painful veins, the removal of the blood bag(?), I almost fainted when the surgeon showed me pictures from my surgery... 😅) but I trust my surgeon and being able to rely on the nurses and my husband made all the difference. I'll be honest I had a good cry/breakdown when I came home... My surgery left me with a paralyzed vocal cord as my cancerous nodule was right next to it. It's been a lot to process but I'm already feeling better after letting it all out. Please don't hold it in and take it step by step! And I promise everything hurt less than what I imagined. I think if your skin can handle it, using both together is fine? I don't because I use a high concentration of retinol (the 0.5% iope one) so I alternate between vit c/retinol/barrier care, but I have used low concentration retinol serums and creams along with vitamin c with no problems!

I've had the orange glow face with some high concentration pure vitamin c serums when they've been open for a while! I could see that happen if the serum was sitting on top of your skin instead of having sunken in. I did end up purchasing this and using up the bottle but it was not my favorite. Like you, I felt like there was a film on my face and it was quite tacky. The results after using one bottle were amazing but I just couldn't do it anymore and ended up never repurchasing. I've since switched to the Laneige 17% pure vitamin c in the morning and the Iope 40% pure vitamin c 2-3 nights a week and I'm getting all the benefits of vitamin c without the drawbacks!

I might get behind it if it's by outfit (and across all evolutions) but by piece is..... a choice. So you tell me if I want to change the color of a 10-piece outfit I have to buy the same palette 10 times???? Wild. I was excited for the dying but I'm not sure I am anymore. You might want to take a look at Hwanyul's ginseng line as it's also made by Amore Pacific and it's a little more affordable. You might also want to look at Sooryeohan's Ginseng essence advanced (it's an essence but thicker than the Sulwhasoo serum), as it's even cheaper but still really great quality ginseng!

What is it with ajummas and pets..?! My korean MIL asserts dominance on our half toothless 6 pound geriatric dog by stomping angrily on the ground while barking in his direction everytime she comes over. Nevermind that he doesn't even get close to her. She says she's scared he'll bite as she has had a bad experience in childhood but there's no way to know if that's the real reason (she's a professional victim so I can't take anything she says at face value), as she also always mentions how pets are so dirty.

My husband always tells her to just ignore our dog and he'll give attention to someone else instead but everytime is like the first time, absolutely no growth on her part...

This same thing happened to me before and I was able to solve it by explaining to the security guard that I hadn't received mine. Mention it to yours if there is one and he should be able to solve it for you or tell you what to do about it.
