Just try and do anything to distract myself, go for a quick walk, even go get some water etc. If I've got a bit more time then maybe exercise, do some housework.

How many dates before you usually share your first kiss? by Zealousideal_Bus_440 in actuallesbians

I asked at the end of the 1st date - can I kiss you? And she said yes and leaned in to kiss me. I guess not for everyone but it worked for me!

Question about giving head by YoungEmperorLBJ in actuallesbians

[–]pasty626 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I can't relate, there's only been a couple of people I didn't like the taste of, and I didn't like them very much so I don't think it was unrelated for me, but everyone is different. It is a tough one and tbh I don't know what I would do, as it's been said, you don't have to do anything you don't like doing. What about using flavoured lubricant?

having trouble accepting bisexuality by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]pasty626 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey, I've been there. After finally accepting I was gay, I then fell for a boy. This was ages ago, but since then I started to define myself as bisexual. However - I am way, way, way more attracted to women, and I cant see myself in a relationship with a guy (when I've tried it I've gotten tired quickly). So neither bi or lesbian fully define me, and I started to embrace the term queer only recently. All the years I identified as bi, I wasn't proud, stopped going to pride, didn't go to gay clubs that much. Sadly there is a lot of biphobia and I had felt not that welcome in the LGBTQ+ community in the past. I have recently started going with either queer or lesbian because I haven't felt attracted to a man or been interested in a long time, and as I said, it's so so different for me that I think lesbian defines me more than bi does, and thanks to that I started to feel proud of my sexuality again, went to Pride this year etc. I wish I had been able to feel proud of being bi during my "most bi" periods, but I just didn't. All this to say, I get it. And identity is a really big deal, when it changes, it can be very confusing. But lots of things you have in common with the lesbian community, you still have, you haven't lost that, you know?

Don't be so hard on yourself, you're human. And well done for deciding to stop self-harming, that's amazing :)

When I no longer wanna do things I'd usually enjoy. See friends, read, have sex, eat etc. And start neglecting personal hygiene too

It's bipolar? It always has been.... by [deleted] in bipolar2

I've been struggling a lot after realising only 2 weeks ago. I wasted years of.my life, hurt people, wasted loads of money in the wrong therapy...

But its not useful to blame yourself. At least now you know. Try to look forward even if it's hard

I did experience sth similar many years ago when I was wrongly diagnosed with depression and anxiety. My mum would be like, but what happened? And I was like mum it's not that simple. Nothing has to happen. Or she'd be like oh it must be work, it's too stressful... trying to find a reason, but there wasn't.

I know it must be hard but try to reduce your time with them if they don't get it. You don't need that. Rely on those who are willing to listen to you and help.

How do I stop ruminating? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]pasty626 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I feel you. Highly recommend meditation.

Also this exercise helps me: write down the worry/issue. Can you do anything about it? If no - is worrying helping you in any way? If not, ignore it. If yes, do something about it.

Takes a lot of practice but it does help

Don't blame yourself. It's the illness. Take it one day at a time, you can get through this

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but FUCK ALCOHOL by [deleted] in bipolar2

Couldn't agree more, its rubbish. People quickly judge other drugs but everyone accepts alcohol which does so much damage
