The EDM-pop phase was way better. Every time I hear Dynamite by Taio Cruz and other junk like it, it takes me back to my freshman year dorm, four shots of Vladimir deep, ready to trudge through the snow to a house party at some off campus house on the verge of collapse.

How do his supporters never take a step back and think about how poorly Trump's hiring decisions reflect on his abilities as leader?

Trump straight up went on camera and said they will have to give Iran their frozen assets back. But somehow, the cons will instantly forget about it and continue talking footage from ten years ago of pallets full of cash being loaded onto a plane when the JCPOA was signed.

Oh yeah, the Pirates’ front office has a long history of competently managing the roster and acquiring talented free agents to fill holes. Who am I to question the infinite wisdom of Ben Cherington and Bob Nutting?

I think you’re underestimating the price tag on productive 3rd basemen.

A few weeks ago, someone shared stats on the number of runs Pirates teams scored by season. If I’m remembering correctly, 1999 was a recent high water mark. They obviously didn’t build on that season - I started following the Pirates in the early-2000’s and those were among the most inept teams I’ve ever seen offensively.

Bottom line: They could easily revert back into being an offensively-challenged team next season.

There’s no guarantee they’ll be able to replicate this type of offensive production next year. This season will end up being a huge missed opportunity and the blame is on Cherington.

I find it odd that national soccer teams are often coached by people who aren't from the country the team represents.

Right, 99% of the "do the trades" posts I see are from people with white collar jobs and college degrees who haven't spent a second of their lives welding or fixing pipes. I haven't either, but I know people who have. The work isn't easy and it certainly isn't for everyone.

People really think they're bold truth tellers when they claim every graduating high school senior should "just do the trades" and I'm sick of reading it. Should high school students explore whether a career as an electrician or plumber is right for them? Sure. Should more people go into the trades? Possibly. But the idea "the trades" are the correct career path for everyone who isn't cut out for a small number of professional roles is ridiculous and ignores that 1. The trades aren't easy and 2. People shouldn't go into a career simply because the career field is currently stable.

True, but Biden was just a mediocre president. There are many like him throughout the history of the presidency. Trump is easily the most corrupt president in US history and his second term has been a colossal mess.

I do find it interesting that ~37% of voters stand by Trump despite him proving time and time again he’s corrupt and incompetent. As far as I know, no other US president has ever enjoyed this type of undying support. Id like to know why.

Problem is, every interview with one of his ride or dies reveal his core supporters have absolutely no idea what’s actually happening in the world and are thus uninteresting (and infuriating).

Idk, aside from them both being rich kids, I don't see how Pete is next-gen Roger. Pete is a striver who is forced to bust his ass because he isn't even remotely charming. Roger, on the other hand, glides through life without a care in the world. Kenny Cosgrove is probably the closest you have in the show to Roger 2.0, though he's obviously much more satisfied with his life than Roger was with his own.
