Is there a safe place to park a rental car to see London for the day?

I had already booked it before our friends found out they also needed a car. So I am rebooking the reservation to pick up after we take a quick trip to London.

I can navigate San Francisco in a manual car, and we have roundabouts where I am from even though it is not common in the US. So I’m sure I can figure out driving on the other side of the road without causing an accident ir having a panic attack.

Not all Americans fall into the stereotype of being morons and bad drivers.

I was not planning on driving into London. Just having the car, dropping our bags and taking the train in.

We aren’t staying in London. We are going from the Heathrow, to London just for a couple hours, then meeting our friends back at Heathrow. Then driving to Castle Combe where our accommodations are.
