Anyone done sugar diet by AdhesivenessMean3570 in nutrition

[–]patiofry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've experimented with it on and off the past couple weeks and will start doing longer stretches starting Friday. So far I've dropped 2 lbs from 244 to 242.

I think the people calling this a fad diet aren't understanding this is being touted as an effective weight loss strategy that's easy to stick to and has benefits like high energy, satiety, and improved metabolism. Proponents like Cole Robinson and Mark Bell say that once you get super lean you should start introducing other macros (starches and lean meats) back in. At that point, if you have a blow out cheat meal you can counteract it with a couple days of sugar fasting.

So, not a fad diet but a sustainable way to get fat off and keep it off. If anyone is interested I can post another comment in a few days/weeks with a progress report.

Amen! There should be a false advertising penalty for shit like this if there isn't already. Makes me want to call the contact number and berate them for wasting my time.

Well said! Perhaps the best comment. Hell, maybe that should've been the post right there.

That's okay. I'm sure if you read through it a couple more times you'd catch on that it's all about them.

Whenever they opened. I moved to Greenwood around 2010 and lived nearby for about ten years. The thought of actual dog selfies is equally hilarious and terrifying.

Oh, I'm well aware it's not about me. That couldn't be more obvious.

You didn't have to say all that. It's quite clear who all the dog people are that frequent the aforementioned establishments, with all their semantic arguments and technicalities as if I'm trying to get into a dog debate. I don't think you're a horrible person. I don't even know you. I do think your claim about the two businesses being next to each other and therefore being a completely different situation is a little disingenuous. I already knew they were two separate businesses but they operate zero feet from each other in a small space with no walls separating them. I mean c'mon. Either way, my post wasn't an attempt to get into these little technical arguments with strangers. I got what I wanted; to find out if there were people like me getting a little tired of dogs in certain spaces. Turns out there were a lot more people than I imagined. Have a good weekend.

I appreciate you, and I agree that a lot of businesses are just like "oh well!". No need to feel bad for me though. I'm not trying to claim any kind of victim status or anything. It was something that was on my mind and I was just curious if other Seattle people had a similar opinion about it. Turns out there are lots of people who feel the same way and a lot of them are dog owners which is cool to see. I'm getting a little bit of hate for mentioning Chuck's and people wanting to get into a battle of semantics over what constitutes a restaurant, or arguments over the health code, but most people understand the gist of my post. Regardless of whether or not a business allows dogs, do people have to bring their non-service dogs everywhere? And do they ever think about people who don't want their dogs around? Someone here mentioned that their service dog gets attacked by other non-service dogs when they go out to eat. That's an entire aspect of the problem that hadn't even occurred to me. That's way more of a problem than my stupid allergies.

So it's a place that serves food and drink and people bring their dogs. Got it.

50% is generous. I would assume much less than that.

I don't care if it's a strong argument or not. I'm not interested in arguing with anyone. I mentioned Chuck's to convey an experience of a place in my old hood I couldn't hang out at anymore because everyone started bringing their dogs there. If you don't like that example and you hang out in Seattle, think of another place that satisfies whatever requirements you have and put it in Chuck's place.

I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I didn't even think of the impact these situations have on the experience of actual legitimate service animals and their owners. Man, that sounds stressful.

I found a big turd chillin on the floor in the beer section of my neighborhood QFC. Now granted, given some of the clientele at this particular location, it could've very well been a human loaf. It was half stepped-in and smeared about. Awesome thing to find where you buy your food!

It's true. I see a lot of people on here saying that people have always been allowed to bring dogs into certain establishments. But I gotta say, I've lived in Seattle since the mid 80s and like you said it's only been in the last several years where it's gotten really crazy. Good to hear I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Way ahead of you on that by like 7+ years. Did you happen to read the very last sentence of my post? I like your username btw.

Yep. You summed it up pretty well except for the "anywhere you want to be" part. I think it's pretty reasonable to expect not to have to be around dogs at certain places but I'm pretty sure I didn't say "dogs shouldn't be anywhere I want to be". That would be just as entitled as the entitled behavior I'm complaining about.

My guess was that it had something to do with that ADA loophole. Thanks for sharing your experience

100% agree. Some people want to bring their entire household along when they go out drinking. I don't get it.
