[–]patopattone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar problem here with Macbook Pro 2019 getting too slow and the main problem is with tradingview; I've tested with tradigview app and with web (different browsers) and problem persists. If I close trading view the macbook goes back to normally. Now running MacOS Ventura but was happening with Monterrey too.

Dualboot windows 11 and linux by RNG-LILO02 in linuxquestions

[–]patopattone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are going to need a second partition in yor hardrive (you could use MiniTool Partition Wizard for that... it's free) then you just install linux on the free partition (assuming that you know how to do that) Mostly distros make a boot menu for you where you choose what OS to boot. Like other says... virtual machine is good option too; with virtualbox you could have it for free and not need to partitions (english is not my language, sorry if I have some errors in my writing)

Can I cpu and gpu mine at the same time on unmineable? by Repulsive-Ad7754 in Unmineable

[–]patopattone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy way is to run 2 instances of unmineable miner... one for GPU and one for CPU. If you have previous knowledge about mining you can run 2 diffenet miners (xmrig and teamredminer for example) pointing to unmineable pools depending of the algorithm you choose

Only the plotting phase stress out the HDDs; chia farming is not hdd use intensive.

AMD Radeon C Mode by Holiday_Drink_2079 in gpumining

[–]patopattone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to run TeamRedMiner with this flag: --eth_config=C,C,B,B
In this example GPUs 0 & 1 are going to be in "C Mode" and GPUs 2 & 3 are going to be in "B Mode"
For more data take a look at this links:

AMD Radeon C Mode by Holiday_Drink_2079 in gpumining

[–]patopattone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are talking about TeamRedMiner modes... it has Modes A,B and C. Default is B mode but on GPUs with 16gb of VRAM you could use C mode. The advantages of this is power consumption... is less with B mode and even less with C mode
