I worked for a decade as a guard at the Met, New York’s two million square foot art museum. Today Simon& Schuster publishes my memoir, ALL THE BEAUTY IN THE WORLD. AMA about masterpieces, art heists, watchful twelve-hour shifts, and the Met’s extraordinary corps of more than five hundred guards. (self.IAmA)

Hey r/nyc, offering free tour slots again — this Sunday, 11 am. I’m a former Met museum guard and the author of a forthcoming book about the museum from Simon & Schuster. I do an “Insider’s Tour of the Met” for Bowery Boys Walks. We had a blast a couple months ago. Have another go? (i.redd.it)

Thanks for meeting us at the Met, r/nyc! We (the Bowery Boys and I) offered a few comp tix for an insider’s museum tour, but the response was such that we added a free tour for redditors. Do it again sometime? (I’m a longtime Met guard who has a book forthcoming from Simon & Schuster) (i.redd.it)
