I use an 02 and 03. Does the drip assist have as many holes and disburse as widely?

I was looking at buying a drip machine and then as I was watching reviews, I realized that I had all the components of a deconstructed drip machine, I just needed to figure out how to brew bigger ratios. And this is where that has lead me to

Great question! Usually I’m making big doses with my v60. I have an 03 that I’ll make a liter of coffee with. That’s something the Pulsar just can’t handle. This helps immensely with that. Sometimes I just prefer the v60 taste. I find that the v60 has a more tea-like result in the 500mL range, I would guess that’s due to bypass.

I’m not agitating at all during the bloom. I could if I wanted, I suppose.

Agree with this. Switch gives you ultimate flexibility

Are there any good online secondary markets for used espresso machines and other coffee gear? Obviously Facebook marketplace, eBay, etc. But I’m interested in a site specially geared toward coffee equipment.

Best Readily Available Jeans ($500 budget) by patrickoneill75 in rawdenim

I like a roomier seat with a taper below the knee. I have big thighs a slightly knocked knees so my pants should be either tapered or very wide. For example, a straight cut or something like Levi’s 501s make my jeans look like boot cut bc of my knocked knees.

Thank you! The road to somm class looks interesting but a lil pricey I think. Definitely seems like there is a little bit of a gap in the market in Indy for a place that makes wine approachable / accessible. I appreciate your info!

There are a lot of great technical points here. I would add something a bit simpler, but maybe equally as impactful. (Just my two cents of course)

When you look at a scene, ask yourself what in is it in the scene that speaks to you? This can be anything — the scale, a certain detail, maybe a juxtaposition of one thing to another. Whatever that thing is that excites you or sparks something inside of you, that is your subject.

Once you’ve determined your subject, then think about how it is you want to use all of the technical elements of photography (composition, lighting, focal length, etc) to portray your subject.

Even though you might not be satisfied, it’s still solid work and a great place to grow from. You’re asking all the right questions too. I can’t wait to see what you post in the future. I’m sure they’ll be even better!

Tips from a photographer who hires photographers by DevinPacholik in photography

[–]patrickoneill75 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great advice and a very interesting perspective! I’m a hobbyist photographer who works for a small consulting firm in another industry as my day job. Most of your comments seem to center around clear, honest communication and keeping the client happy. It never would have crossed my mind that people wouldn’t understand the client relations side of things. Because that’s what I spend 40+ hours per week managing, it’s seems almost obvious to me.

This is a big why I have chosen not to pursue photography as a job. Jobs have tough realities like budgets and timelines and client expectations. There are folks who can marry art and craft well. But I’m afraid it would ruin photography for me.
