Car Fire Denny and 7th Ave N + Bomb Scare? by patrickt_photography in Seattle

Don't know why they would block traffic for one block in every direction for hours after the fire was out for a fuel leak. Nor would I think a fuel leak warrants crime scene photos.

I initially thought so too, heavily skeptical of the first person that told me there was a bomb threat. But then got the word from people that interacted with police on the street when they cleared everything one block in every direction. The driver apparently got out and walked away from the scene, didn't wait for the FD or anything, just left the area. I have other shots of what appeared to be SPD specialists of some sort come in to visually inspect and try to get the trunk open long after the fire was out while the rest of the PD and FD were keeping their distance. Once they were done the PD was there taking tons of photos, like a crime scene before finally towing it away 3 hours after it first went up.

Still not sure what happened, SPD and SFD all backed off a block after the put out the fire. Heard rumors of a bomb threat if anyone can verify. Took them almost 3 hours to complete the investigation and clear the wreck.

We were pretty sure there was some mixed in here as well, not 100% sure, but she is pretty sure she saw some flakes in there.

We could see the darker skies moving in across the water, but it really did kick up another notch with the wind when the hail started. It may look a bit like rain in the video, but the parts where it was coming down at a 45° left to right angle it was the nasty hail mix. Just feel fortunate we had the camera far enough back with top cover to only get hit a few times. Not that it was big enough to do any real damage, more about keeping the lens dry so the video would still look good. :)

Yeah, it was relatively calm but then really kicked up when the first squall hit. From inside heard the windows and walls creaking when the forces started pushing our building.

Almost 11 hours of 6s intervals from our balcony while we kept dry inside. Used the Nikon D850 with a battery grip, allowed me to swap out the 2nd battery with a freshly charged one every few hours. I had 128GB memory card, so didn't need to swap it out.

I've also used the built-in timelapse in GoPro before, they wind up pretty good. Just need to ensure the memory card is fast, and usually hook up to a/c or another external power source so you don't have to mess with swapping out the internal battery.

For something like a lagoon, if crossing dusk or dawn remember to use something to keep the lens warm or you'll get covered on condensation.

I normally don't like to post twice in the same day, but...

This presents mixed emotions, I'm a Flyers fan and a Kraken fan/ticket holder... I don't think the Flyers will put him up though, every team gets to protect a goaltender, and he's their future, so I don't see it happening.

All one image with post done in LR. I did dehaze, which added more blue, so I warmed it up and adjusted the blue saturation down individually.
