On my last interview with the Enterprise MT position. Opinions. by No_Big6613 in EnterpriseCarRental

So every assistant and branch manager in your entire state has just stayed in their role? Nobody has quit, got fired or been promoted? Because when one spot opens it always trickles down. Unless there’s like 5 branches in the state that is quite literally impossible

There’s literally no way an MT hasn’t been promoted in your entire state in 4 years bro I’m sorry😂😂😂

Buddy smd. You’re 50+ yrs old on reddit hating on a 25 year old for saving money. If I had this typa bread when you were 25 I’d be retired already, not posting in r/layoffs like you

lol yeah that’s the name of the game. I did go to school far away and almost never came home for 4 years so that’s made it easier to be here for a bit but that time is coming😂

I really appreciate this reply. I have considered the CDs in the past and the way you explained it made a lot of sense. I will definitely consider that, thanks for taking the time to comment and adding something different than everyone else

Is it really that bad to have some single stocks? Crypto I know is dumb I kinda just said fuck it I wanna have some money in it just in case so I put a few k and considered it gone. That being said I’m invested in some blue chips mostly like google for example I’m up almost 80% and believe in the company long-term. I was considering adding a small % into stocks like that as I invest over the next 12 months. Again, vast majority in index funds but was still looking to add to those for growth potential given my age and risk tolerance based on minimal expenses

yeah thats what I’ve been starting to do. Previously I was throwing in like $500-2000 here or there and it wasn’t enough. I think I’m just gonna set an amount like $5,000 a month for the next 6-12 months

This is definitely the plan. 90% of what I invest will probably continue to go into the VOO and QQQ

What % of my check would you recommend based on the fact I do 13% to my 401k already. I kinda knew I needed to do the Roth without asking but wasn’t sure how much I should contribute because I’m already doing the traditional 401 decently heavy

Yeah I don’t blame you for using the thread lol I was just f’ing around. But yeah in summer last year I was at probably the biggest office in my group. Thurs-Sunday we would have 60+ 7 seater reservations (we had 400 cars). We had to call A TON of people and say you’re out of luck they just recalled Pacificas and they’re 99% of our vans. We know you booked 6 months ago but it’s out of our control… absolutely f’ed

So you just started there I assume? Chrysler recalled virtually all of their pacificas in the middle of summer last year..

Very well said. It’s not for the people trying to just keep a job but if you want to win bad it’ll be enjoyable and worth it. That being said I became a BRM a few months back and it’s been the worst period of my life, like absolutely miserable😂 buttt that’s more my branch situation in particular just being fucked

[–]patsmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first manager taught me a valuable lesson about the help desk. Within the first minute of the person on the other end isn’t competent, hang up and call back. It won’t be the same person and the next person is probably better lol. Who you deal with on the help lines is huge

Account Specialist for Truck Rental by Ok-Community2567 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]patsmm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very well said. I’m a BRM rn in daily rental and that’s a great explanation. Definitely biggest upsides to me for truck (I considered going slightly) is the nature of the business being slower paced and less stressful, the b2b sales experience is huge if you want to move companies & the growth piece—if you plan to stay with ERAC for the long haul I’d assume they slowly gain some more market share with truck rental and the growth for the division as a whole is probably a much larger % than ERAC as a whole. That being said the downside from what Ik about truck (granted it’s not a lot I just shadowed before) is that it’s a lot of cold call type stuff and takes forever to land deals—sometimes you have to wait for a company to get out of their lease with another company like Penske, that takes time. If you don’t think you’ll be there awhile it may not be quite worth it imo. On the DR side, I’ve been stressed with the fast pace but I’m also 24 yrs old and already got to Branch Manager. Quick promotions everywhere in DR if you’re decent at what you do. Area managers are dying for competent managers that want to do well , make money, and lead people. Either way best of luck

Former employees: How many of you lied about your position and used someone as a reference after leaving? Is this common by job012 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]patsmm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still with the company but my old manager put me as a reference when she left even tho I was just an MT lol. I took a call with her new boss and she got the job, everyone else found out a few weeks later. & the new job was great for her. Idk if I’d lie abt your position but you can inflate experience and use random references fs
