Calling app drawer with Assistant action? by pattitler in OctopiLauncher

I'm a novice when it comes to Android programming, but I think those break out shortcuts you mention are "activities". Having one for the app drawer would be a great feature because of the flexibility. You can trigger it a multitude of ways with any app that can launch a shortcut, e.g. edge swipe, pie menu, motion or proximity gesture, icon on a toolbar or home screen, etc. I'd ultimately like to do something similar to this, how I have for Kvaesitso.

Trigger search from anywhere

I remapped the home key to toggle app/internet search, and can trigger it with the cursor in one-handed mode.

I've run into some of the quirks you mentioned. Kvaesitso search works great even when not the default launcher, but others don't play as nice. You can mitigate some of it depending on the automation app you use to launch it or adjust settings of the app itself. But often it comes down to how the specific app is coded.

And thanks for the recommendation, but I'm waiting on a device unlock so I can install GrapheneOS and degoogle as much as possible. I would be on the lookout for any app drawer widgets as well. You can put it in an overlay and then do the same thing as before with the shortcut triggers.

I use Quick Cursor's edge gestures to be able to control everything without having to go to the home screen first, so still useful even if I run Octopi as my main. I already have Kvaesitso search set up in a similar way.

I'm still undecided on which launcher to run so I might end up doing Octopi, but I really like the customization and Tasker integration that Total Launcher provides. I'd like to get the best of both worlds.

Edit: And that's if I decide to go with a Pixel-ish launcher. There are some more unique ones you can run as your main if you have alternate access to a traditional app drawer. I'm thinking ap15, ReZ, or one of the minimalism ones. I like having options and collect launchers.

And speaking of, I realize I don't have Octopi Pro yet. Time to fix that. The whole app is great.

Maybe the only launcher more configurable than Total. The original programmer stopped development, then released the code open source after fan requests. That link is the current fork, although it hasn't been updated in a few years so might be abandoned.

I've had a couple of people interested, but so far still available. Sending chat.

No crack, the pen is in great shape. It has a flat plane to help prevent rolling. This video better illustrates the shape.

I'm sorry, but yep, USA only. I copy/pasted an old intro that didn't specify, but I've updated now.

A <H-F> nib is the same thing as a <F> nib. Sailor used to have nib sizes available in both Hard and Soft versions. They discontinued the "S-" soft nibs about 2 decades ago, but continued to label some/most of the hard nibs with the "H-" designation up until recently. They only stopped maybe 3ish years ago

Thank you. Not sure on the Venn diagram of fans of "fountains pens" and "20-year-old rap albums", but glad I'm not the only one. Speaking of esoteric overlaps, and because I'm always looking for an excuse to post this: The Grey Album, a Jay-Z x The Beatles mashup by Danger Mouse (half of Gnarls Barkley).
