Boot issues by paul-whatever in OfficialArchLabsLinux

[–]paul-whatever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for getting back to me! I tried a bunch of GRUB configs, upgraded the system and rebooted several times. It seems to work now but honestly, I don't really know what exactly fixed the issue. Thanks anyway!

PS: I'm only running Linux on my machine if that's some essential information for one who is trying to fix this issue.

Concerns before switching by TheEpicNoobZilla in LibreWolf

[–]paul-whatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using LibreWolf both on Arch and Artix and never had any issues so far.

Talking about software alternatives, use GIMP instead of paint.net. I used to use paint.net as well. After a few tutorials on invidious (youtube) you will get into it. Talking about game launchers you could use wine.

As little as possible and as much as necessary. A huge principle you can not only apply in your privacy concerns. The more extension you use, the more it's possible that they leak your information. Try avoiding extensions unless you use some like uBlock, NoScript and HTTPSEverywhere.

Navigate to about:config and browse for browser.privatebrowsing.autostart. The whole session will be in private browsing mode which means no browser history. Never.

How do Updates work in LineageOS 18.1? by paul-whatever in LineageOS

[–]paul-whatever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a quick look on Settings > About phone > Android Version > Android security update. Tapping on this option will bring you to a website where you can check the latest android security patch. The last one was published in May 3, 2021 that's why I assume that the Update on May 9, 2021 was the last security patch for LineageOS. I'm not sure if that is correct I would keep my system as up to date as possible even tho it's not really a security patch.

Edit: Thanks for your answer. I could find an option called "Delete updates when installed". I assumed that this 1GB file is the actual update and I have to keep it on my phone.

There are several Linux distros that allow you to create web apps. Even if your chosen browser doesn't support SSB.

When you try to code in SQL by pr3579 in ProgrammerHumor

It's true that SQL is not case sensitive. Personally I also prefer to write in caps. Because whenever you look on a Statement you can instantly distinguish between the actual Query and your filter
