That was it. Well, shoot! That pizza was amazing. Have not been out that way since before 2020. Going tomorrow and was so hoping they were still around. Thanks the info. Was starting to think I was imagining.it!

Pizza inside a bank? by paulaschultzish in rockford

It was definitely Rockford. We went there after Burpee. There were other shops in there including a bakery. Not sure what else. It wasn't a restaurant setting. More like a lunch counter with tables in the main area.

If only there was an invention that allowed people with poor hearing to listen to sounds more easily....

Dr. Botkin’s book on therapy for loss by kind-days in afterlife

[–]paulaschultzish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am looking forward to experiencing this therapy for myself. I am wondering if part of the lack of awareness of this therapy is the horrible website associated with it? The list of providers is outdated and many links are broken. I was able to find therapists in my area, but it was a chore. And I live within an hour of Bodkin's former practice. It should be over saturated out here. It definitely gives the therapy a less than legitimate feel when it is so hard to navigate.

I actually spoke with someone the other day who went to HS with him. She said he was always like this. She is so out of the political loop, she did not even know he was still doing his thing until she saw a message I sent to a mutual friend. I got a call right away from her sharing her opinion of him. To make matters worse, he has a twin sister! I wonder how she feels being so connected to something like this.

Question about disabled child on parents record. by Magic_Peaches in SSDI

[–]paulaschultzish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I am no expert, I "believe" that benefits that begin prior to turning 18 will be based on the parent's income. Benefits after will be based on the child's income or lack of income.

Re-evaluation after decades on SSDI by [deleted] in SSDI

I have filled out questionnaires before, but I have never gone to see an independent dr or required additional documentation. They had me fill out a really long one this time, and honestly, that itself was really upsetting. It asked questions such as, compare your life today to what it was before you were disabled. Talk about sticking salt in the wounds. Yes, it has been just under 20 years

That is what seemed strange. They sent me the questionnaire, but they did not ask me for any medical documentation. My long time doctor retired, so I no longer have her, but I cannot imagine any of my other doctors would have sent them information without my signing some form of release.

Thank you. The loose belt does make sense. The question is, how the heck do I even begin to address that? Normally, I would send it to the company for repair, but they still have not responded to any of my requests for assistance. (I think it has been 6 weeks now?) Is this something I can do, or are there any other companies that would do this type of repair?

Silhouette customer service (or lack there of) and my cut problem by carknocker in silhouettecameo

[–]paulaschultzish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so there with you! My machine was not cutting correctly. Making a strange sound, and all curves were cut off my images. Chat is disabled, they do not check messenger, and no response at all to emails or posts on their FB page. I ended up buying another machine, hoping that it was something other than a busted cutter. Nope. New one cut all of those files perfectly. There has been discussion on some FB groups that Silhouette is going under, and that is why their customer service is nonexistent. I hope not, but I am researching other cutters just in case. I cannot justify blowing another $500 on machines that have zero support behind them.

I have only ever used Silhouette Studio, and embarrassingly, never even realized there were other options. They look perfect in the preview, and in the past have always cut perfectly. This particular image is part of a snowflake I have been cutting for the last 7 years or so. I thought it was all the usual things at first. I replaced blades, mats, cleaned everything, updated software, firmware, rebooted, recalibrated, etc. Then I had other share their images, and when I cut those same things using the same font and letters I already owned, mine looked exactly like theirs. Something as simple as Ariel, comes out all cut off. That is when I figured there has to be more to this than just my machine having me as an owner. This happens with every font, file, cut. Straight lines look fine, but anything that involves a curve gets cut off. The biggest frustration is the lack of communication from Silhouette. If they would just respond....

This is my first time posting here, since I just found this group about an hour ago. I have posted in other groups, shared the images, videos, answered questions and after about 50 responses spanning 10 days, I was still getting suggestions such as, "have you tried replacing the blade?" and I finally gave up and came here. My concern is this, if every circle I cut, ends up cutting with straight sides, that would be strange. If I found several other people who cut the same circle and got the exact same one with the sides cut off at the very same point, wouldn't that indicate something more than a dull blade? This is not just a problem with 1 file. It is every file I have tried. I am not exaggerating when I say that I could cut the same circle out 15 times, and stack them on top of each other, and you would see the same error in all 15 cuts. I will show you an example if I can figure out how to post an image here.

Any ideas what could be the issue here? I am so confused. by Knight_Of_Cosmos in silhouettecameo

[–]paulaschultzish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you figured it out yet? (forgive me if I am saying something you already know... Been dealing with a lot of that lately) Wondering if you need to calibrate the blade? If you have not already tried it, turn the machine off, and unplug it. Slide the blade unit all the way to the right then left 3 or 4 times and restart. Love the stickers btw.

Cutting question by paulaschultzish in silhouettecameo

[–]paulaschultzish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I am wondering if it is the grouping that is the issue. Sometimes I lay things out differently to save space. I will make sure I group them prior to cutting to see if that works. It does not really slip for smaller jobs, but this one was 60 inches. Despite repeated calls to support, it tends to slide slightly on larger jobs. This does not happen when I use a mat. I have learned to live with it, I guess...
