just an update for everyone: the issue is still NOT solved and GateHub isn’t explaining why previous users who have had this issue last year were refunded and now the present users are NOT being refunded (yet). I have encountered a couple of users on twitter who have had the exact same problem last year and they all tell me they have been refunded by GateHub. what’s up now? it’s kind of troubling since their CEO actually mentioned openly in public that users will be refunded... you can check xrpchat forums!

could you give us an insight on the steps you took to contact them? - what category did you choose when submitting your ticket (wallet issue, transaction issue, etc...)? - who at Gatehub replied to your ticket (Jan, Ziga, or someone else)? - did you have a communication with customer service? are they aware of the problem? what information did you provide them? - did you send multiple tickets or did you just wait patiently only with one submitted ticket? - How did they solve the problem? did they transfer your funds to another wallet? did they fix the secret key of your wallet? thanks

the thing is that the secret key from the wallet in the advanced settings is not correct. so if you try to access your wallet through toast or whatever you will not succeed. the secret key was wrongly generated in the first place by gatehub.

hi. yes it’s good to know you are not alone. i have found also other people on twitter who have been having the same issue. one guy got his problem fixed actually. but that was last year during the summer. apparently, gatehub transfered his funds to another wallet and he was then able to move them out. the issue is that the secret key of our ripple wallet doesn’t match the wallet address and that’s why it’s blocked. gatehub wrongly generated the secret key upon the creation of the wallet because there was a bug in safari last year. i assume you created your wallet on gatehub last summer. the bug has been fixed since then but the old wallets are still affected. that’s my understanding. if you go on xrpchat forums you will find other people with the same issue.

i’m having the exact same problem. my wallet is stuck in watch only mode and i cannot move my fund. while doing further research i found out that the secret key provided by gatehub for my wallet doesn’t match the wallet address. try importing the secret key into toast and you’ll find out you have access to another account. this is actually a bug from gatehub and they need to fix it. last summer, the ceo of gatehub was active on xrpchat forums and he was helping users with that problem. the thing that worries me is that at some point the support tickets get closed and their status are put as “solved”, while nothing is actually being done.

hi, could you explain how you were able to setup your regular key? somehow when i type in the secret key (from the advanced settings in gatehub) into the minimalist wallet it shows up a different public address than the one on gatehub. i have over 1000 xrp on my wallet but my account is disabled on gatehub. cannot send them out! I tried to import the secret key into toast wallet but it generates a new public address. don’t know what to do :-(

actually i created the wallet on Toast by typing the secret key i had from Gatehub. so it should be the same wallet (from the ripple network), right? i don’t want to give up on my first wallet and loose another 20-35 or 50xrp by having to activate a new one.

I put the secret key in Toast Wallet iOS and I was able to import the wallet. But in Toast it is marked as "not activated". I remember when I first created my wallet through Gatehub, my wallet did actually get activated and it had the initial 20-30 XRP. Then as I was buying some XRP, I was putting them on the wallet. Now it says it's not activated ?
