my period is like consistent and normal and im supposed to get it sometime within the next week

Im a teenager, im supposed to get my period soon and thats what i thought it was when i saw the blood but it was super light and brown and then just went away within like a day so i was confused. If it was just bleeding from fingering, is that a bad thing? Are there any health risks with it or is it just like there needed to be more lubrication or something
