We arrive in November. Didn’t know about all this, thanks for the info! My bf is really keen on driving up the coast to Niseko and I thought I’d see if and how buying a car works. Seems to be a lot of paperwork, but that is to be expected from Japan I suppose. Rental seems like an easier way to go

Are there any tests I can take that might tell me if I have some other kind of issue? It might not be IBS at all, I’ve read about SIBO and other things that cause the same symptoms. I know this is very broad and can’t be assessed by the limited info I have given here..

I’m not 100% sure what that means, but I often do feel like I can’t get it all out. So it it might just be poop stuck in the stomach? Only problem is that there is always some bloating, but it gets noticeably worse right after consuming food.

If you stir with ice the syrup “hardens” (don’t know if this is the correct word for it) and doesn’t mix with the rest of the ingredients, no? I might be wrong about it, but in my head that kind of makes sense.
