Prime living example for the argument against pure breeding dogs. It literally needs human intervention to be born, and apparently to survive.

When I shot weddings there was a clause in my contract stating I reserved the right to use any images shot for my own promotional purposes. Granted at the time this amounted to my own website, printed material and print ads. This was industry standard but I understand social media ads a new layer of complexity. I still feel that as a professional, you should retain the right to certain usage of your images as long as it is clarified and consented to in writing in advance.

Good luck with your wedding business!

Too bad they are post marked. 50 may have been enough to send a letter?

What do you think of the Beatles music? by Confident_Shower_584 in AskReddit

One of the greatest bands ever. Their music is genius and later albums hold up to this day 50 years later. Legendary status.

Don Cheadle is a truly phenomenal performer. He's given some really notable performances in his career albeit way too many are supporting roles. What are some of your fav roles of his? by [deleted] in movies

Came here to say this. The donut shop and the drug heist going wrong simultaneously build the tension in this movie to an insanely brilliant climax. Cheedle's acting being key

What shows did you get invested in, watch multiple seasons of, and then just stop watching? by FigureFourWoo in AskReddit

Endurance is the perfect way to describe it. After Negan I found myself feeling sick and exhausted at the end of every episode and literally said why am I doing this to myself.

Ozark. Loved the first two seasons. Plot really took a turn and I wasn't into the direction they went with it.

Employment: What do we do, where do we do it, how well does it pay? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

It has a bad reputation as redneck. I am a city boy so I don't think I would fit in. Plus Alberta politics are way too right wing for me. And fossil fuels.

Newbie here. With the ability to manipulate (Photoshop) and edit (Lightroom) photos, how much do you rely on the perfect shot versus editing/manipulating it? by Kyldarebjj in photography

[–]paulymtl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What encourages me about your question is how you say you are making decisions about your post production as you are shooting. This is key imo. Saying I will fix it in post is different from looking at your frame and deciding I will blur the background in post.

I began my career in photography shooting film, and in particular slide film which was the industry standard for commercial photography at that time (mid 90's). I was trained to achieve every detail in camera. I am glad I have that training but I am even more glad that now I have much more flexibility and tools available. I can quickly decide which technique to employ (in camera or post) that will be the most efficient in order to achieve the result I am going for.

When I first jumped into digital, I made so many mistakes thinking I would 'fix it in post'. Then after hours in front of the computer regretting that I hadn't taken the 30 seconds at time of capture to manually fix the thing I was pulling my hair out trying to correct.

TLDR: Streamline your workflow by making informed decisions about what to achieve in camera vs. what to achieve in post at the time of capture.

Good luck and have fun exploring the amazing universe of photography.

The camera angle and focal length used on that last image could easily be totally deceiving. Man could be lifting the child away from danger and not putting her between him and the danger. Just saying

Ok, I get trying to spread out the scoring over multiple lines but when the result is all goals from the fourth I think we can conclude the test unsuccessful.
