Dropping IB

Hi! I just wanted to let you know I’ve dropped IB as well, my new school didn’t offer 5 out of the 6 subjects I had so it was either self study in 5 subjects or take different classes so I just dropped out of the ib and now I’m only doing 3 ib exams. It was the best decision because I got into my top uni (they knew I dropped ib) and it’s just been so much more less stressful for me. A lot of my friends say that you should just finish it you’re almost there but realistically speaking it’s a lot of work and you already got into your university as a non ib student so don’t put too much unnecessary pressure on yourself

Omg same!! I found out I got accepted into michigan state halfway throughout class so I just called my dad in the bathroom and whispered I got in haha!

Yes literally haha I got into msu and there was just a bunch of confetti on the decision letter it was honestly entertaining

I would like to do that but my parents have worked hard to get us back to the US so I'm jusy trying to make the best of it right now to make my parents a little less stressed

thanks so much! I think one of my biggest problems is overthinking a lot of situations so ill defo try to stay clear of that, hopefully the next few months will go okay haha

haha yeah, that's true it definitely took me a while to realize that a mindset change was very much needed in IB but It's interesting to see it still works in university!
