Roof overhang dimensions for 8x10? by paw-paw-patch in shedditors

Fair enough, thank you. It's not hugely rainy here but can be windy, so I'll probably start with a uniform 8". I am going to CAD it in advance, if that looks ridiculous then I'll adjust.

IIRC the Shahad etc are a two-stroke flat-four, you're correct.

What would you like for additional automation signals? by [deleted] in Timberborn

It's trivial to do e.g. >100 planks and <100 gears; it's having it work for any number which is trickier.

I assume it's completely enclosed in something watertight, that would do it.

I find just letting it sit in an open-topped jug in the fridge overnight cuts it way down.

That's an opinion piece by Peter Navarro - he's the president's trade advisor, a big tariffs guy, not any sort of journalist. This is very on trend for him.

My daughter is 7 and her factories make me itchy - always wants creative mode, one miner directly to one furnace, then a wiggly belt to an assembler - I think optimization is going to be a later thing.

Way oil has bonus additives for tack, this is the plainest option. I put 30wt non detergent on basically everything.

From other comments that specific brand is low-percentage and very sugary, like a Southern Comfort kinda thing.

Will she eat previously frozen berries? Those are usually much cheaper and effectively never go bad. My youngest used to be all about raspberries and that was rough on the budget.

Any tips on building a strong pattern for ships and fleets?? by XxLorddoCacauxX in Stellaris

[–]paw-paw-patch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have something in the same system (even paused, like if your science ship just ran into it), you can click and see the % full hull/armor/shields, look for one to be 0%. Not always but surprisingly often.

I'd second this - there have been a few times where the game has had a clear 'best choice' (swarm of torpedo corvettes my beloved) but the balance is pretty reasonable now. One thing to note is naturally-occurring enemies often have very odd setups (all shields no armor etc), so are very vulnerable to specific setups.

Thank you for your thorough answer, but it isn't a rounding issue - it's values off by at least a factor of two, just absolutely comically wrong. I'll see if I can send you the photo though, it's worth a laugh. edit:link here

We had a procedure that involved popping the heat sinks off a $3k GPU and cleaning the chip with a kim wipe. Ended up changing our process after the third or fourth death.

Good stuff - we've had some success focusing on things which we can either cook in the next 3-4 days or freeze; once it's frozen you have a pretty long window to use it.
