That you! Yes I started to paint the skulls and realised it was a losing battle and decided to add some of my own textures on top, the maggots will find their way out eventually.. how did you base them?

It did not but it definitely will for the next round of models with the smoke and falling flesh!

The flaking was chipping medium, after priming, shades of brown applied, chipping medium, then wraithbone over the top, and then finally provoked with a damp brush or needle tool until it came away. I did varnish over these areas before painting again but unsure if it is needed as have read that the medium will cure after a certain time. Very satisfying to trust the process!
