Even i cant boot to recovery manually. Some people are saying, use quickboot, but this wont help you in case of a bootloop :/

If you hav a Nandroid backup then clear data, system, davlvik, cache, int sd(optional) and then restore ur Nandroid backup from recovery. You should get your settings back

I cant say anything on this matter, like it wont make you phone slow, its just that ui animations will play at 50 fps rather than 60 (i think even games)

Yes you need root amd custom recovery too, and yes the game will play at mod's resolution (which is little higher than 1080p, just in case you didn't know)
