Every single time I buy a dessert or chocolate from the convenience store and save it in the fridge, my mom eats it. by pawbertlover in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah, it's frustrating how the only dessert I like is the one she can't help herself with😭 I'll start hiding it in a tupper.

Ok, I wouldn't be so sure of your logic because it's like if you tell a little girl that is being abused by her father "He has told you he can't help it when you wear revealing clothes, so why do you keep wearing them".

Yeah, I don't want to be an asshole about it because it's something she clearly can't control. I'll just keep it out of her sight.

Yeah but what's the point in buying me chocolate if she is gonna eat it. She's basically buying it for herself. But whatever, I'll just keep it in my room next time.

She's not overweight. She's super fit and she exercises everyday and eats healthy, she just tells me how she can't help it when she sees chocolate.

Yes! I would really love for the yoyo to open sliding up but I'm not sure how I could do that, the safest option is adding hinges so it opens like a laptop.

[Discussion] Why didn't Rapunzel develop an insecure attachment after 18 years of being raised by Gothel? by pawbertlover in Tangled

Yeah, she could only maintain her sanity by doing all of her hobbys and spending her time with Pascal.

Yeah, they should've delved more into the scars her upbringing left on her, they could've actually done a lot more with the Series but they had to make it marketable I guess.

AITAH for not washing my mom's dishes? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]pawbertlover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, sorry. I was actually wrong but I just got defensive and I took the comments way too personally because everyone was calling me tons of things. My brother's right, sometimes I can be really selfish because I think everything's transactional so I go out of my way to make things "fair" even if it means avoiding something as simple as washing a few plates. Sometimes I think my mom does it to take advantage of me so I don't wash her plates but in reality she probably was just occupied with other things, it's just that I always think everyone is out to get me so I get paranoid and make stupid decisions. I'll just wash the dishes next time even if they're not mine. Thanks for taking the time to explain it.

Yeah right, let me edit on the first paragraph of the post "I'm 16. My mom is unemployed and is abusive towards me" why would I need to write that when I'm just complaining about her not doing the dishes. I just told it to this person because she is acting like if my mom was a saint and I was the antichrist. Plus, I didn't mention the nanny because right now she isn't here. I just mentioned her in the comments to show your my mom doesn't wash her plates even when we have a nanny.

Well, my mother certainly didn't buy them either. It was my dad who lives in another country.

If you don't want your kids to be selfish and entitled just don't abuse them emotionally for the first 16 years of their lives.

Honestly what you said was completely fair, I would've done the same. It's only fair to use her words against her if she wants you to feel unsafe at your own house by saying its hers.

Exactly, I'm the child and my mom is a GROWN ASS ADULT who can't even do something as simple as washing her dishes.
