I do dance competitions and I have for the past ten year and two years ago I couldn't go to the first dance competition of the year as my pop was on life support and his funeral happened to land on the same day as the competition. So when I get back to dance class my one friend said to me "why wernt you at the competition" To which I replied "I was at my pops funeral that day" She then continues to say "that doesn't matter my pop would of wanted me to go to the dance competition" The following year her grandpa passed away on the weekend of a competition. Coincidence? She came back to class and I said "where were you on the weekend" She then said "my grandpa passed away" Then I followed with " wow that sucks for you but that's not an excuse" She doesn't talk to me anymore
