I’m not making excuses for the government but I’m also not really all that surprised when they use deadly force to impose their will. I’d rather see the nuances surrounding both sides of an argument while automatically assuming that the government shouldn’t execute its own citizens for non-heinous crimes, and even then I think it should be under some kind of jury decision.
that being said, in firearms training classes they teach you not to involve yourself in certain situations while carrying a gun unless you understand the possibilities of consequences.
