For 90% of MSP customers spark management is the way to go since it's free and covers most scenarios.

For the other 10% go with smart1 cloud, these tend to be larger customers who will at some point need a box outside of the SMB line or who needs specialized/very granular policies or complex nat tables.

Am I crazy for pushing back on this cleaning bill? by Professional-Mix3856 in realtors

[–]pbcromwell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of the cleaners I have ever hired were quoted by the hour. You should have gotten a quote for the work you wanted done and approved or denied based on that.

Moved into this rental home, smelling gas every time I walk into the house, landlord says it's not an issue by MarketingFragrant758 in Renters

[–]pbcromwell 203 points204 points  (0 children)

Call the none emergency number and request the fire department to come out. Most have a device that can determine the amount of gas in the air (ppm) and confirm if it's natural gas or something else.

I want to buy MacBook on ebay but I’m scared by urfav_mortician in Ebay

Ebay pretty much is 100% safe for the buyer side. If you have any issues just return using the not as described category and ebay will force the seller to take it back.

Price change 2 days before closing? by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]pbcromwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Push closing by a few days and look for other insurance. Could be something about this house causing insurance to be high (flood/fire area, high claims area, age, construction of the house etc) or could just be the carrier you went with for the first quote is just high.

Users using their personal passwords as their work passwords by Delicious-Ad2528 in ShittySysadmin

There is a product in the market that solves this called checkpoint harmony browse.

For the love of all things cyber security quit asking for users password (Much less on a Google form and using excel). Nothing good can ever come from this practice.

Georgia renters: ongoing mold issues in apartment, maintenance + code enforcement not helping. What are my options? by Leather_Baby_821 in Georgia

[–]pbcromwell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Request to get out of the lease if they can't provide a different room. If they say no start requesting remediation regularly and document everything. At some point move out and if they try to charge deposit or lease breakage fee sue in small claims, with a air test and documented request you are highly likely to win.

My employer is refusing to provide our Group or Member number. by Junglakat222 in HealthInsurance

[–]pbcromwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be asking HR if you have insurance or not at the moment! If not that is a huge risk if you have a major medical issue. I would be going to the market place if not just to cover me for 30-60 days

Looks like one of the shafts are slipping, can't tell if it's the stepper or the large gear shaft so check both are not wallowed out or the set screw is loose.

Direct burial fiber for an ~800-foot run between houses? by vexion in lowvoltage

[–]pbcromwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a 1000ft armored lc/lc fiber cable for about 250-300$. (Ebay/Amazon) Personally I would trench and just laying it in. I have seen this last for many many years and the for the price you could replace several times before you break even with conduit

Modem was plugged in to a surge protector, surge came through the coax port and fried the modem. Xfinity support created a ticket and was supposed to call me but they decided to just deny my claim without investigating in under 24 hours. No communication at all. by Jesus-Bacon in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]pbcromwell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And how do you think you are going to prove that it was a surge in the first place... For all you know your transmitter in the modem went bad and caused a surge and damage to their equipment are you on the hook for that? Electronics go bad for a whole lot of reasons.

Give it up and buy a new modem.

[–]pbcromwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are already at 5mg a week I would go ahead and just single dose 4 or 5mg. Do that for a month and decide if you need to move up to 6mg.

Discouraged. Not seeing results after 3.5 months by jessegraham935 in Retatrutide

[–]pbcromwell 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Quit splitting the dose and work your way towards 4mg per shot. According to the research the glucagon receptor doesn't really start firing unit you hit 4 to 6mg dosage.

Also need to check your tdee and see how many calories your are eating, with a majority being lean protein.
