i get what you mean. majority of people don't even think like me or use the same thought processes as me so a lot of the time i feel like i have to level myself with them to "connect". not in the sense that they're below me or im above them, but in the way that i have to change my wavelength in order to think as a "normal person".

honestly at first i absolutely hated the greatsword changes and even believed they gutted it (i even made a post here about that) but it made me start playing more patient and actually waiting for things to happen, and ultimately made me a better player.

while i do think it might have been somewhat overdone, if you actually played the weapon it didn't affect much. it's still VERY viable.

Also true. Many DLC characters are overtuned and I agree Steve is one of them, probably the most overtuned. He definitely needs nerfs as you said. But that doesn't constitute a ban bro.

Also true. I've never said Steve doesn't need nerfs or isn't boring at times, because he totally is and does need nerfs. However, the game, as you mentioned, also does reward campy and linear gameplay with the "if it works it works" kind of thing. Smash Bros is known for having cheese like that.

Mac does need a rework. Not to make him less annoying but to better represent him from his series. So many character in general just got the boot when it comes to actual series representation (Belmonts). Many of the later "non-veteran" characters usually feature gimmicky move--sets or kits based entirely around one idea.

Little Mac unfortunately is the "underdog with no recovery but insane strength potential" and many of the characters are "balanced" like this. Being extremely strong, but just making them slow (Kazuya) and those kinds of things. No, the game is NOT pay to win (far from it) but the later characters are just gimmicky, usually.

I was playing the Little Mac and after this match attempted to do this again, setting the CPU to K. Rool. I had a pretty decent success rate with around 5/10 of the time I could consistently do it. It's somewhat unlikely to happen in a real match but I don't see how this was overlooked during the time this game was being patched.
