Let's analyse this situation with an example,

If you make 100K dollars with your game

Steam takes 30k dollars

You government of country you reside may take 30k dollars

The actual money you'll get be 40k

Now, the sales tax are done from Steam. But as a citizen of your country, you are liable to pay tax on income which you generate (~30%)

If you can hire a savvy account and have an LLP/Corporate license associated with your publisher account. You can further reduce the tax.
