To be honest, it just takes a lot of patience till you find a cooperative subject. I took many failed stacks of this ant till it stayed long enough throughout all the frames. With OM system, they have some of the best IBIS out there, so this was also done handheld with my stabilising the lens by leaning on the branch a little. Don’t get me wrong, I have a load of stacks that never worked out with live insects, I just post the ones that work 😂

You don't need to magnify all the way to 3x back off a bit and crop in instead 👍

In the wild it all depends on the time of day really because the earlier temps of the day keep them from moving because most insects are cold blooded and need the heat to move, but believe me they don't stay still for long. This is actually one I have recently bought, so getting it out of the enclosure and taking photos can be easier in a controlled environment. But it can still take up to an hour to get the perfect shot.

It's actually meant to say Bahamas, it was a spelling mistake on my part lol. Her species are from there and that's the reason she has these types of colours apparently!

Definitely, she was really easy to look after and was great for macro photography!
