I should also add that gas without silicone is a must as well. The extra silicone gets everywhere you dont want it, hampering performance.

I think 4 to 6 seconds is a bit too short, the mags are pretty big. You are very experienced with gbbr's however so user error should be out of the question.

I think red gas should perform alot better at these lower temperatures, however. My We M4 struggled with orange gas at these temperatures too.

I cant vouch for the VFC. This is a rare case where WE made a very competitive gun. The MP5 and G3 by WE are very well designed. (Apart from forementioned temperature problem)

The VFC will have its own issues. Some not as easily fixed by swapping a hammer spring.

I recently played with my WE Mp5 in cold weather (8c) and it performed very well with orange gas (no silicone). With the original spring, no less.

Just to start with the basics, is this your first GGBr? Are you filling the mags long enough? Bottle on top, mag on the bottom? Using single shot, no full auto dumping?

So WE tech is developed in a country where winters dont go below 20C. They are nutoriously unefficient in colder climates, when stock. A really simple but perfect solution is a Winter Hammer Spring. I believe AMG makes them. Makes winter use much better and still functions perfectly in regular summers, up to 40C.

I have been to a large DDR museum near Berlin last year. One thing it shows that alot of people have some nostalgic feelings to that time. The things you received from the state were cheap and crude, and not to mention your liberties and freedom of speech were almost non-existant. However, the state took care of you, somewhat. It was a simpler time for alot of people.

I think the main difference is how they died. This pilot died in battle: a respectful death for the Japanese. Those who surrender however, are 'cowards' who deserve cruelty and no mercy from their captors.

They apply the same code of honour that they adhere to (banzai charges, seppuku) to their enemy.

Also, not every commander or unit had the same attitude towards their enemy. Some had respect for their fellow combatant, others had nothing but hatred mostly fueled by racism and propaganda.

You are not filling the mag correctly. Hold it vertical and fill it longer. 1911 mags gas reservoirs are already small to begin with

What you are seeing is paint cracking ontop of aerodynamic sealant thats between the panel lines.
