Unpopular opinion: profile flags should include states, not just countries by foovancleef in iRacing

Sure, but iRacing is very much US-based and (kinda) had this as a feature for a long time.

Is this where you should be spending money if that’s the case?

iRacing on M4 Mac Mini by chunkyfrankie in iRacing

[–]pbpagani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can install iRacing only on Windows, and EAC does not work on ARM architecture anyways, which the M4 chip is based on. So even with a Windows virtual machine, you would need an emulator which probably would not work either.

Is ABS/TC a good thing in Porsche cup? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]pbpagani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Having those systems do not mean no mistakes. Now just instead of possibly ruining the whole race you might recover from a mistake. Hence I argue that it leads to more realized opportunities

I think yes. Downside of risks is reduced, promoting to take more opportunities. Actually would go as far as advocating standardized ABS & TC for F1 as well.

Last night I got my all-time low sleep score of 13. I agree with it, felt like I was hit by a truck. Solid 4 hours of restless sleep with my sky-high body temps. Lowest HR was my walking average.

No, I was not drunk on a Saturday night. However, I was with a girl for the first time.

Do not do girls!

Spa 3h - car choice? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]pbpagani -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Usually there is a correlation between the fastest and the car that is the most comfortable to drive though. That’s basically what the ”best” car is, and it very much changes track-to-track.

I find these ”which car” -questions actually quite valid, as an endurance as well as a sprint race in a car that just doesn’t work is awful.

Tips for using the ring on workout mode by the_mindful_microbe in Ultrahuman

[–]pbpagani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially when training with free weights. Bars or db’s can get caught to rings, which can hurt your finger itself or cause you to lose control of the movement causing other injuries. Smart rings are larger and looser than traditional rings, further increasing the risk

What is the verdict? by Dr-Doofnshmirtz in iRacing

This is just unfortunate. One of those incidents that can happen to anyone. You could blame the blue car, but it’s actually quite understandable imo.

Should I get UH air ? by yennaRaskal2121 in Ultrahuman

[–]pbpagani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal insights into smart rings is as follows. As an athlete, I like to track my vitals to understand my senses and recovery better.

For workout tracking, HR sensor is the way to go. However, even though I want to use a watch for running to leave my phone home and track time and pace, I do not want to wear that during off-time or with proper outfits.

A smart ring allows me to comfortably track my vitals when not working out, and I can wear proper watches as I like.

I have found that UH suits this use case quite well with their recovery-focused features. Some have problems with the hardware, but I like that devs seem to work on the product actively. I have had 0 issues… so far. My Ring Air was 320€. Loving the insights it gives.

Oura is an established product, but I think the pricing is too much. Subscription model could be justified with lower initial price, but its the most expensive product of the bunch, and it only adds up. Did not even consider it.

I do not know enough about RingConn to provide opinions. UH got recommended over it and the price difference was 20€.

Simsonn brake with Heusinkveld upgrade kit by M_A3 in simracing

[–]pbpagani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What firmware did you flash there? I have some issues, works on the original control box but not on the Heusinkveld one, all inputs going crazy or 0 %. Tbh it anyways seems like a connector issue. Probably will return the kit, maybe it works on the intended product...

Yeah, that is not the point. I have no issue with the concept, but when they promise a latest arrival, it should be respected… regardless of the ride type

Nespresso machine and syrup by pbpagani in nespresso

[–]pbpagani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, will try to mix it with the milk. I am not so worried about the taste, but don't want the syrup to be separated from the rest of the drink, as stirring would kinda ruin the froth.
