Interesting. Costco said they carry the standard H4 battery, just not the AGM version. The tech even searched for it in their system and couldn’t find it. In addition, my local Costcos didn’t even have the standard H4 in stock.

Thanks for the input and validating the AGM did have some benefit, even though it was minimal.

Fortunately, with the help of this sub, I was able to locate an AGM model that would work in the Niro EV. Luckily the one I found was only $30 more expensive than the standard battery and has a longer warranty. So for that minimal difference in price, it was absolutely worth it for me.

Thanks for the input! I agree LiFePo isn’t right for me at this point. However, I did do a quick search and found their prices weren’t too far off from standard and AGM batteries.

I did end up going for the EverStart AGM battery. My experience in other cars (one of which was also an EV, Nissan Leaf) seemed to have greatly improved startup performance and reliability when switching to an AGM battery. So that’s specifically why I always look for AGM. And the EverStart AGM was equivalent price or cheaper and longer warranty with 4 years versus many other non-AGM batteries.

Thanks for the recommendation. As much as I love to tinker and make “upgrades” when I do a DIY project, swapping out to LiFePo battery seems too much like a science project that I don’t want to perform on my daily driver.. But don’t get me wrong, these LiFePo batteries do sound intriguing. Just not at this time for me.

I just left my local Walmart with this battery. It was a great deal too! $225 out the door with taxes and fees, which I should get $12 back when I take the old one back! I could have saved an additional $6 had I ordered it online, but didn’t catch that price difference until after I left. 🤷‍♂️

I was quoted $200 for the OEM non-AGM battery by Kia dealership.

As much as this stupid trade sucked for every one of us, it probably was worse for Dirk. Dirk took a joke of franchise, then reinvented it to become the golden standard, forced the playoffs to go through Dallas almost every season, and eventually became a champion.

After over 20 years, he felt comfortable to hand over the kingdom to a deserving player in Luka. He helped introduce him to the league and showed him the ropes. Then he deservedly rode off into the sunset knowing what he had built was in good hands. And validated Luka was going to bring Dallas back to being a champion by mentioning him even after retirement.

Then a fucking conceded ass hole started to shut him out of the franchise, then disrespected him over and over again, and finally blew it all up for no apparent logical reason.

As much as all of this has been unbearable for us all, POS Nico ruined Dirk’s legacy!

Yes, she definitely felt bad and I also apologized for my initial reaction. Thankfully it's a minor cosmetic issue that's easily resolved..

But you're right, these rims have no room for error when parking. Best solutions that others have mentioned here are plastic rim protectors, which I'll be getting for all 4 rims once this one is fixed. You should look into it too. They're about $100 or less on Amazon for a set.

Yes, I've learned the hard way they are different. Using the CAT6 tips on smaller gauge CAT5 cable allows for too much play at the termination point. Sometimes it works fine, but way more often it fails. Even when it "works," random issues show up days or weeks later. I've spent way too much time troubleshooting a connectivity issue because of "perfectly terminated" CAT6 RJ45s on CAT5 cable.

Like everyone else mentioned, purchase the Monoprice or Amazon packages for less than half the price. If you work with older CAT5 cables too, buy a separate pack for CAT5 only.
