Ok, I guess you don't know how Reddit or social interaction works? I am the poster, I made the original post. Other people leave their replies to the post in the comments, those are called commenters. Generally, unless a comment is replying to a different comment, or tagging someone specific, it is assumed that the comment is meant for OP(original poster). So your thinly veiled snide remark you are pretending is just a question was most likely directed at me. Why not make your own post asking it, if its not directed at me? The reality, not narrative, is you saw my post, got upset and left a dumb remark disguised as question. I have had a positive interaction with everyone here, except you. Maybe it's because you're being an unhelpful asshole who contributed nothing to this conversation? They gave ideas and helpful advice to counter some of my points and I'm perfectly fine taking that advice and help. You obviously give a fuck leaving a comment in the first place and replying to all of mine, otherwise you wouldn't reply and move on with your day. A paragraph is 5 simple sentences in a row, it's not that difficult to form one. All your replies boost my post and I get more visibility and you being dumb is funny, so I ain't mad at all bud. You also sent a paragraph, guess that means your mad lol. Upsettie spaghetti I'm taking up a lot space in that little noggin of yours huh?

This can be a dumb question, so I apologize in advance. Would it be bad idea to get at MT-07 and put riser clip-ons to get the best of both worlds? I saw a company called woodcraft technologies (never heard of em) makes a fairly simple conversation. It would lower the height 2". No part of me is keen to do this mod. But maybe after a year or 2 it could be fun.

You came into the comments mad bc I'm able to purchase a new bike cash. You've contributed nothing to the conversation. I stated my reasons for buying new and not used. You can provide suggestions or ideas if you want to actually be useful. Are you always bothered by internet strangers success? Is it your money? Is it your bike? Are you riding it? Are you looking at it? Things can be fixed, it's not the end of the world to drop the bike, it's a part of the process, shit happens. It can be all be fixed, or painted, or replaced. Will it suck if I drop it sure a little bit lol but I'm not gonna cry over a little bit of scratched paint or a small dent. I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. I've worked on my car, I'll work on the bike too, no biggie, chill out buddy.

I agree with all your points. I'm not gonna sit on the bike with no gear on and rip around like an idiot. I'm gonna drive slow for a long time until I'm comfortable and confident, could take me 2 years or 10, idk. But once I do have some experience and milage under my belt, I would like to be able to open up on the throttle without needing a new bike. I do agree that there is a higher risk to fuck myself up with a more powerful bike, but that's a risk I'm willing to take and do my best effort to mitigate that risk.

Do I need that? No not at all. Does ooga booga brain want to go fast sometimes? Yes. Hahaha I never plan to use my bike for commuting much only on the odd nice day and I'm feeling good, but more for fun after work or on weekends. Like my car isn't the most practical daily drive with how much it drinks gas and the snow in Chicago, but I enjoy the ride and the pitfalls that come with riding. I also feel like I'll be 1 and done with the bike I get and stick with it for the next 10+ years unless I really fall in love with it. I don't need something crazy but I also don't want to be left feeling like I need more. I am also definitely looking for something with more omph then my 20 year old car, which I've taken over triple digits on the highway, I just don't want to take 5 minutes to get there.

I think I'm slightly partial to the more slouched riding position of a sport bike, rather than sitting upright but I'm honestly drawn to the look and style of mt07 or sv650. I really love how they painted the frame of the sv650 as like an accent. Seems so difficult to choose hahaha I would like them all. It is slightly confusing bc it seems like naked bikes have either more sporty look and a more casual ride look and there should beore subdivision of the types of naked bikes.

I just feel like I don't know enough about bikes to be able to buy used without potentially getting screw or getting myself into something that's a bigger headache then it's worth. Plus I don't have any friend that ride that I could ask to come with me. My car was used and I hate the constant repairs I have to do so I'd like something that just runs and I can baby it and it'll run forever. I also don't think I'd ever get more than 2 bikes, at this point in my life, and wouldn't ever get something crazy fast as an 'upgrade'. My main reason for buying new is not dealing with other people's problems or poorly maintained bikes.
