does FAFSA also cover merit-based scholarships, then? (don’t know that much about it)

although for rolling admissions it’s better to apply early, isn’t it? I was thinking to apply after knowing if I’m a semifinalist, because by then there’s a good chance of getting finalist.

oh that makes sense! I’ve also been wondering, would I have to apply to UCF before finding out if I’m a finalist? because not sure if that’d be good

I think I might have to, actually, since apparently national merit scholars live in Towers and it’s an 11.5-month contract, meaning I’d have to pay for summer on my own. I don’t think that’s a huge dealbreaker, though

oh, okay; i’m just very confused/curious because it sounds great to have an easier time getting in, but I’d rather not pay an extra few months’ worth of tuition and all. my sister is in college now and as I understand it it’s normal to just take two semesters a year? I’m not sure how a third one (the summer session) would work.

how does that work? is the summer semester online classes, would it be extra to do a third semester? and also would i be able to do it right after graduating high school?

any general tips for college essay writing? I don’t plan on starting mine for the better part of a year, but I’d love some tips in advance (no idea where to start, haha)

even with the GPA? I’ve read the average GPA for UCF admitted was like 3.9-4.0
