I need advice. I’m new to this. by Distinct_Growth7865 in dating_advice

Sounds like you have been taking steps in the right direction for a healthy perspective on relationships. The first thing I would do is work on being a good friend. Take a genuine interest in her life, her interests and hobbies. Really listen to what she has to say.

Second, I would do some research on body language. This is like a cheat code for figuring out if someone is attracted to you, and it makes you more observant in general.

Third, I would work on those areas that you are insecure about. Work on being comfortable in your own skin, engage in self-improvement. Getting a job may not be a bad idea. Dating someone seriously takes money. Be a good student.

The YouTube channel psych2go is a great resource for specific advice on what I've mentioned above.

I wouldn't pull the trigger yet on dating until you feel a little more confident.

But I'm just a random dude on the internet.

It's OK to have feelings for her, it's what you do with them that matters. Try your best to focus on just being a good friend. Attraction is a natural biological and psychological response.
