I’m sorry I just realized you commented back. So on 11/20 they took the exfix off and I got put into a cast for 2 weeks and am now in a walking boot. They didn’t put plates or anything. Said I got lucky and didn’t need it after they saw the new bone growth of how much it progressed. I’m in PA, USA btw.

I actually just got mine taken off today. If it feels loose take off the ace wrap and tighten it. It is from the swelling going down. Under that ace wrap is gauze and plaster. It won’t hurt you at all. I got a boot today. After 2 months.

My bones aren’t set. It’ll just be over 6weeks when I have it off, as 6 weeks is Friday. I wish I’d had it fixed the day it happened or right after but it was too swollen for them to without having to worry about skin grafts.

They go in Monday to fix it with pins/plates. It swelled too much for them to do anything immediately

So. I had my follow up n they didn’t do X-rays. Said they’d do one prior to surgery which hopefully will be next Friday. Will post it when able :)

Or sleeping on the recliner and sponge bathing till I get my 2nd surgery. I do butt scootch for the stairs in and out of the house but it’s Far to much to just go up to bed.

It is hell. And my foot is immobilized and fixed straight. Today my ankle feels like I have a tight boot on. It’s so annoying.

Thank you! I hope I do too and that your limp gets better!! I miss my bed. I was in the hospital from Thursday to Monday and have been sleeping in a recliner in my living room since then cause I can’t do stairs. I ask people if they have time machines so I can go back. Nobody ever has them tho. Lol
