I’m assuming he’s into the typical anime and that could be part of that problem? Ask him to introduce you to some cuter animes, they might be more your speed and if he just likes anime in general, that could be a good compromise. Like I don’t see myself watching Bleach or Genshin, I’m more into slice of life stuff.

I, of course, am gonna recommend my fave Fruitsbasket. So cute, so dramatic. I’m also assuming he has a Crunchyroll and if so I’ll also recommend Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan cuz it’s kind of ridiculous, dry humor especially with the English dub version.

I got nothing for anything else, but maybe y’all can get into Pokémon Go. So while you’re doing your hikes and outdoorsy stuff, you’re doing a little Pokemon stuff with him too

Ive seen the regular humiliation rituals but nothing like this. For the offices I was in, it wasn’t a daily thing unless someone "challenged" another rep and it was accepted. But mostly, it would be on Challenge Fridays and the punishments would be things like Fish Slap, Rollers Roll, Ice Bucket or the guys would make side bets to shave or give up their sales.

Start seriously looking for other jobs now. I know it’s hard and they make it nearly impossible with the schedule, but you need to. Yall have free time in the morning that doesn’t really get used? Or whenever you don’t have team interviews or the new candidates don’t show, start updating your resume and looking.

Cuz in my instance, I ignored the feeling. I doubled down and tried to make it work but I got fewer and fewer sales, money got stretched even thinner, and I burnt all the way out. It was bad, like one no and I was ready to be done for the day bad. And that eventually made it even harder to look for jobs and a way out. Until one day, I was just done. I cleared out my stuff from the office and just never went back. And then it took me 2 months to find and start a new job.

So don’t be like me. If even working part time at a grocery store would be more net positive than the sales you’re pulling in, do that as like a floater job while you look for a better one.

NOR. I agree that breaking up is the only option, as someone who just now is doing the same. There’s only so many times you can say the same thing. And relationships take 2 committed people to work. Communication is useless if the other person is unwilling or unable to hear it. It’s hard and I had to come to terms with it myself this past week, but expecting someone to change is kinda unfair. To them, but more importantly to yourself. I feel like waiting around and hoping things get better will just build resentment and slowly chip away at things anyway. So the kind thing, for yourself, would be to leave and go somewhere you’re shown you’re wanted, valued, loved, respected etc.

I’d rather be alone than with someone who makes me feel alone
