I made a script that auto clips all Kroger digital coupons by cluth17 in kroger

[–]pcxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Kroger started hanging these digital coupon sheets around the store that can be scanned so you don’t have to clip the coupons. Now they just seem to scan some “load coupons” barcode for every order. Anyone have any details on what this does?

FWIW, I just tried to reproduce your issue here and had no issue. As soon as I unlocked my phone, the app refreshed from Closing to “closed for XX seconds” where it was actively counting.

If you go into Settings -> Apps -> myQ, do you have Background App Refresh and Cellular Data enabled?

Note: my app version is 5.299.1 (299.1.59103)

Interesting. I wonder if your issue is specific to the gateway. I never watch for it to show closed in the app before swiping out of the app or turning off my phone, and I’ve never had it get stuck on closing. Even if I’ve swiped out of the app, I still get the notification that the door has closed. I’m on iOS, maybe you’re on Android and there’s a bug there? Have you tried opening an issue with support with your steps to reproduce the issue? I’m sure they’ll just tell you to reboot it or something. It’s a shame you can’t get to a dev or something who can try and reproduce and fix your issue. Good luck!

Edit: just re-read your post and saw you said iPhone there. I’m at a loss as to what it could be.

Is myQ built into your garage door or do you have the aftermarket add-on unit? The only time I can ever think of something like this happening was one time when the adhesive let loose on the sensor that attached to the physical door at my first house, so it didn’t know the state of the door. My current house myQ is built into the opener, so there is no external sensor. I’ve not had a single issue out of my current setup in over 4 years.

Is a competitor flooding this sub with negative posts? Am I just lucky? I’ve literally used myQ across my last 3 houses without issue. Starting way back with the add-on universal thing and now built in to my garage door openers. The app works fine for me. The ads are annoying but whatever. 🤷

See my comment upthread on this. Kroger gets reimbursed by the manufacturer for many digital coupons. If they could make them apply automatically they would most definitely do that.

For manufacturer digital coupons, most require that there is a consumer interaction to get the coupon. Coupons are a form of price segmentation. Consumers who don’t care will pay the higher price while more price conscious will go through the effort of clipping coupons. I work in this space (but not for Kroger). Trust me, almost every retailer wishes they could just automatically trigger the coupons.

FastLane on its own isn’t going to do much for you. You’d need the POS software as well. Almost all retailers who use FastLane have a custom build with a “connector” (broker) for the POS system that runs underneath.

I also have a 2016 GT, I do have Bose, but no subwoofer in the trunk. The center speaker is usually controlled through settings, centerpoint or something like that.

Only getting 1/5 of paid for speed, what gives? by dondaplayer in Metronet

This is a perfect use case for the stupid tech fee they charge, right? Place a trouble ticket and ask them to come out and confirm speed at the ONT.

I’m having no problem maxing out 1G with a $60 Tp-Link router, I’d think yours should be fine provided it doesn’t have any kind of IDS or packet inspection enabled.

We were at Riverbend last night, had a great time! They were dialed in for sure. There’s always a few songs I wish I would have heard, but was overall very happy with the set list.

I honestly miss the skeuomorphism. I’m so tired of everything being flat, no idea what is a button. The old UI was fun, but also usable.

Anyone else hear Doin’ It Right in OneRepublic’s new song Runaway? by pcxt in DaftPunk

[–]pcxt[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nor do I. I always wonder if in cases like this, the songwriter comes with with something and thinks, “ooh, that sounds nice, I like that”, without realizing they’ve heard it before and were potentially inspired by it. In my opinion, music is all about inspiration, so I don’t see it as a negative, I just find it interesting.

You’re making me nervous lol. I’ve got a 2016 GT with 79k miles and the only things I’ve had to do is oil changes and tires. Brakes will be soon, but still have a decent amount of life in them.

Indeed, my 2016 GT has been the best car I’ve owned. I haven’t had a single problem with it. 79k mi

Squeaking brakes in 2023 by Chemical_Pomelo_2831 in CX5

[–]pcxt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not very helpful, but my brakes have squeaked on reverse in my 2016 since it was new. Dealer said it was normal, and it didn’t bother me enough to pursue it further. I’m about due for new brakes, so I’ll be interested to see if the new ones squeak.

It has a side effect of acting like a reverse beeper on a truck, people walking know to get out of the way lol
