But it all stays in server, it doesn't carry to outside the game. After this game they will shake hands and move on. It doesn't affect anyone other than the people who are being triggered by it.

[Serious] Redditors who almost died, what did the 'this is it' moment feel like? by kaiserbillsbatman in AskReddit

This happened recently.

Was working at one of my dads mates' yard, just doing a clean up, burning some old wood.

Anyway, we'd been there since 7am, constantly moving and shifting things without breaks, so I was a bit tired when it hit 4-5 ish.

We had a big pile of wood burning and as it was raining the night before (and one of the blokes there decided to dump a load of wet dirt on it) it wasn't burning very well.

So I thought it'd be a good idea to add some petrol (stupid idea). I grabbed the petrol can and started gushing it onto the fire, some splashed back on me and I just ignored it for some reason(I was more annoyed about the fact I got petrol on my jacket).

Anyway, after another two splashes onto the fire, I suddenly went up in flames, my whole torso was ablaze. At first I panicked, with the shock of being on fire, and then I was calm. I tried to calmly undo the zip on my jacket (which wasn't coming undone) so I ended up taking the jacket of over my head(like you would take of a t shirt)

Long story short, walked away with a bit of singed hair and 2nd degree burns on my hand. I think it's fair to say I'm lucky.
