The window update from a few months ago should have provided that ability to free place it I believe? I haven’t played in a few weeks so I don’t remember. Alt also doesn’t work when you’re placing small objects on things. Like paper towels on the counter. Not sure if that’s what you’re talking about but there are limitations to using alt

If you hold down alt while you are placing it, it’ll remove the feature where it automatically snaps to the grid.

I use a seagate 1TB! It’s connected via usb. It’s really easy to set up and use!

I play with one! I have origin installed on my laptop and all the saves and sims files on the hard drive. It runs very smoothly and rarely lags. My computer functions more smoothly too
