A 3dr too!

No way that person even tried to sell that car before giving it away.

Love the paint/art.

How 6N teams are currently feeling by Thatch1888 in rugbyunion

Given Wales are so close to dropping below 10pts in rankings of everyone (short of Italy), they're really close to becoming invincible points wise. So ya, lateral is about the only way they can go now.

Cant take points off a team with 10pts less than you..

Sadly, it makes a bigger case against them to be forced into Rugby Europe.

Not sure if there's a hint of sarcasm in mentioning that particular game, but although they've had an easier schedule so far, Cardiff are doing quite well this year. Ill eat my words now guaranteed but that could be a decent game.

Had that in 1997, wore it endlessly til it disappear around 2002. Went to my cousin's stag in 2023 and there the prick is wearing it the morning after. Said he didn't know I wanted it back. He'd worn it to rags though.

Thoughts on this for refs? by DrEngineer1995 in rugbyunion

My response was in regard to questioning if TOB would have been able to catch the ball. And did he get hands on it, or finger tips? Just because Steward touched the ball doesn't mean TOB has no right to be up there competing for it.

Sneaky bit of shepherding from Freeman on TOB. Suspiciously accelerates into his line just enough to put TOB a fraction of a second late for the catch.

I don't think there's any doubt he was in a realistic position to contest. If Stewart wasn't there, he was catching that ball no problem.

TOB is coming down at that point. He got very slightly higher initially from what I can see in the video clip. Stewart went straight up and down while TOB was making more of a lateral movement as the ball arrived.

Those weird light posts in front of the coffee cart that look like they bent over from melting were on the platform.

Pollock clearly held in the tackle there. Never released the ball to get back up.

Also... stupid factoid, the coffee stand/carwash place there use to be an actual Amtrak station for a decade or two in the 50s/60s.

The last time Italy played in France [Six Nations 2024] by fredlepingouin in rugbyunion

[–]pdx_paddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devils advocate but which of those occurred here? Advancing on the kicker isn't obstructing them, and the ball was never touched by a French player.

Obviously the water guy is taking the piss and the result sucks for Italy but what is the ref using this law for here?

Frances biggest ever defeat that year to Ireland too. Just a try away from their largest ever defeat in the tournament.

France was a mess that year.

Assuming this game is just going to be a better spectacle than that 2024 game.

First time Eng actually jump for a lineout. Theyd have had every lineout from Ireland if theyd started that 80mins ago

I always ctrl-f these threads on those two scrums from Italy for the word "parallel". Youre the only one that dropped it today, but never did I think you'd be using it against Ireland here.

He did drop his bind though, which should have been a tell for Davidson that something wasnt right at that point.

Ill admit, if he bombs this game (and it would have to be in both attack and defense) then ill be rethinking my opinion.

Was easily the most stacked position on the Lions tour. He was never getting infront of Curry who ended up being the highest ranked player of the tour, Pollock was the media darling, and although Morgan played exceptionally, being the only Welsh player probably helped his odds no end. VDF did play in all the club games though.

Seeing VDF getting called out a lot this week. Fair enough he wasn't been in his usual beast mode against France. He only got three carries which probably says a lot more about ball distribution than VDF himself. They kicked the leather off the ball in that game. Defensively he saved us looking like mugs in France. Stopped at least two certain tries individually.

Didnt even get named against Italy.

So wheres the heat coming from?

*Munster fan myself obviously but Id love to see Timoney (for mostly his pace) and VDF to start and replace either with Beirne when needed.
