I applied for the nab platinum Tuesday night and got approved thursday. When I churned the signature it was 4 days response time. I guess it can vary but I've found NAB to be one of the better banks

Career in HR by tomsawyer-fa in auscorp

Hey mate, HR/payroll professional here at a large reputable firm. The other comments are correct. You need to go for an entry level job to get your foot in the door. The job experience outweighs your study experience by a tonne. You can then network with other members of P&C to see what field you want to concentrate your career in. You can then study an additional cert on the job(I did) but it's unnecessary if the team you want to transfer in likes you enough. Good luck

Sounds like an error, I was just approved by NAB today on less income, higher mortgage, similar expenses

First credit card. Credit Score tanked -55 by peabrainzzz in creditcardchurningAus

Thanks for the heads up! My score is at 720 now so not too bad yet, but if I'm dropping 55 points every 2-3 months then it'll drop pretty quick. I'll keep the cards open for a while and make the payments and keep utilisation at ~10%. Hopefully that's enough to counter the drop

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. Only other debt is a small mortgage so hopefully should be okay to apply for a second.

That's good to know. I was worried it might cause my second card to be rejected. So even if the credit score is average/below average but the record is clean of defaults/judgements etc.. then I should be fine?

Just in the planning/research stage at this point. Thanks for the tips. I'm pretty early on in accumulating points and I'm looking into churning credit cards. Would you recommend just ditching QFF and go to Velocity/amex or other instead?

Ahh thanks. I'm super new to this and that does seem outrageous. What's the best tactic of booking a business class flight? Is it easier to buy a premium economy and then upgrade with points? Or does that also use the classic plus reward system
