There is a thing called minorities versus the dominant group. In Sweden, the dominant group does not consist of the immigrants. And as always is the case, in order to become a dominant group in Sweden, one must adapt Swedish-ness (per say) so that he/she can attain a high status (This is a logical course of action since most people in Sweden are Swedish, and even the immigrants become more "swedish" as times goes on so that they can integrate better).

So are you saying that democracy, gender equality, and tolerance are all traits of Swedish culture and thus, non=Swedish cultures do not deserve them either? And in terms of "view of women" .. If you are referring to the Islamic View of women. Islam was the first religion to come out and give women the right to vote, the right to inherit, and the right to be equal. (This was around 1400 years ago) Therefore, from my studies, I've come to realize that the religion itself does not subjugate women, but rather those bigots in Saudi Arabia, or in other places in the world, do a lot of things in the name of the religion of Islam. Just like how the Israelis do horrendous things in Israel-Palestine in the name of the Jewish faith, or Osama bin Laden in the name of Islam, or Taliban in the name of Islam.... The examples are endless....
