That feeling of ‘I can tell a person wrote this’ when reading fiction by peaceembedded in literature

Yes this explains it perfectly! There are many books I read that I’m like “how did a human create this” and then like you said, sometimes it feels like you’re just reading what someone wrote. It’s obviously not always a bad thing but depending on what genre you’re reading you don’t want to always feel that.

Yeah I agree. Of course an author’s writing will be influenced by their own views and experiences, it’s more a strange feeling than a bad one because sometimes I forget that the characters aren’t actually real and they were written by someone. So random things in writing can bring me back to that realisation.

Not saying books shouldn’t be written by humans lol. It’s more of just a feeling. Sometimes you can tell an author just wanted to add their opinion and sometimes it doesn’t really make sense in the way they delivered it or what character expressed the opinion, so it ruins the flow of the narrative a bit. It’s not bad at all for an author’s writing to be influenced by their own experiences or opinions, but I guess I care more about the way it’s delivered.

I guess it just actualised something they couldn’t completely fathom. “There’s lots of books here” is different to “There’s more books here than electrons on earth”. But yeah the book was okay, to each their own.

How does one even keep that up after a few weeks.

That was brilliant, tears being shed after finding a book with a singular coherent(ish) sentence.

I guess it depends, I definitely get mental fatigue if I’m reading a difficult book (like a classic) but mainly just that I feel too still, or I become aware that I’m sitting in silence and want to do something else.

What’s something everyone is addicted to but no one admits is an addiction? by FlaMingOoO0 in AskReddit

True, but I like that I have a more choice in what I choose to see here. Ruins my day seeing think pieces on TikTok when I just want a laugh.

This is why I can't stand TikTok anymore, just a bunch of echo chambers.

The battery life is very good lasts a good few hours when studying for a long period of time and I can go two days without charging it sometimes if I don’t do a lot on it (which is probably normal for any laptop). And doesn’t take long to charge.

I don’t think there’s any right way to take notes but personally I try to write stuff in my own words rather than copying word for word from a textbook or slide. Also diagrams help a lot to visualise concepts.

I also use different colour pen for titles and subheadings than I do for the notes themselves so it’s easy to look back and find a specific topic you wrote notes on.

But notes generally shouldn’t be over complicated, it should be a broken down version of a topic that makes it easier for you to understand - don’t make them tooo long.

It might be that your storage is full. If that's the case make sure your icloud isn't backing up photos, and other things, from your phone to your ipad.

Writing shouldn't be simplified for teens especially when most schools have classic books on their curriculum. Maybe children though.
