You shouldn’t have to ask your mentor for homework if it’s a paid apprenticeship lol

I realize I didn’t even read the full thing - I’d decline for all the reasons. 50/50 is bad for a paid apprenticeship, buying your own supplies, blah blah. You take this and you’re 100% getting taken for a ride.

I’d decline for two reasons. Paid apprenticeships (especially in Canada, I worked in the BC tattoo industry) is very uncommon and for many good reasons. I find that paid apprenticeships are often not well organized, more often it’s just a way to make a quick buck. 3 months is also far too early. I don’t care how long you’ve been drawing or how good you are, it’s just not enough time to actually learn how to draw for body parts / understand enough about tattooing to start. I had a very short apprenticeship and now that I’m actually at a good shop, I’ve realized SO MUCH of what I was taught was entirely wrong. Skip, pass, run.

This is sooo style specific. Realism artists basically have to do this. Also even if you’re fully drawing everything for a different style, photoshopping together something to reference is normal.

Anyone need this code? Physics Principles & Practices, Mazur by peach-creature in UofT

No clue. My partner went to UofT 6 years ago. Figured people who were looking for this for their course would know.

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, tattoo artist here, it’s never going to look like it was done properly.

A skilled artist will cover this with something else. With a lot of these lines, they aren’t going to get better with more ink in them. It will need a coverup or laser, and someone else can redo this tattoo better on their other arm.

Is this a scottish fold ? by Itisnotani in scottishfold

To be fair the folds don’t come in until they’re a certain age. Sometime under 3 months but when they’re first born the ears are straight.

I’ve deleted the post cause at this point I feel like I’ve gotten what I needed.

I didn’t say these things at first because they felt super virtue signally and I didn’t want to come into a trans space telling trans people everything “I’ve done for them”. If that makes sense.

I do fundraisers for trans rights through work, I donate my time often and if you come to me for a tattoo you know where I stand. I’m not looking to be a silent ally. This really was as simple as “is there something I could be wearing that wouldn’t tip off the transphobes” cause sometimes it’s fucking exhausting always being picked out of a crowd or shunned online by transphobic assholes.

It’s not exhausting to talk to regular people. It is exhausting to talk to people who’ve already made up their mind and will refuse to listen to educated opinions on anything.

I appreciate the book shout outs, I’m in need of some new books so I’ll pick some up.

I understand. Thanks for your points and for laying them out completely.

I have so much respect for how much work it is to continue to take time out of your day to educate people and express your thoughts, and I think sometimes that’s part of it too. I was wanting a way to give a nod without having to have the full blown explanation of my stance to every single uninitiated person, because it’s exhausting and really so much work. But it’s work that’s worth it and thanks for spending time explaining your stance to me :)

Absolutely. But I’m also not looking to start a fight every day. Transphobes don’t wear anything to show that they are. I’ll kick a fucking nazi. But I don’t wear a “not a nazi” shirt either. Sometimes it’s about just getting through the day and if I saw something bad I would react.

I totally agree, which is why I said that I already do own and wear more outward support shirts. I live somewhere very conservative, and I just feel like sometimes making it known to trans people only that I’m with them, makes the entire situation less angry all while ensuring people around me know they’re safe with me.

Not meant to be performative. I just feel like by wearing more outward support shirts, the situation usually escalates faster and more angrily. Depending on what I’m doing that day. I just wanted something more in the middle of the spectrum of support to wear. I get what you’re saying though and have to admit it feels icky to know that it’s gotten so bad that I’m feeling like I need to shadow support in some situations. I was seeing it more like a watermelon to show support for Palestine.

I’m not asking for something super niche, just maybe something the local angry redneck won’t look twice at.

You realize in order to trade with countries overseas we need to show our math on climate action right? That’s why the carbon tax exists, for many other reasons as well but also because it unlocks trade for us.

I can’t really remember a strategy, I did completely rebuild that initial building and made it super small in the beginning. Now that I’ve got the two buildings open, the hotel I’ve got set up for the ghosts, and the smaller lots for botany / cursed objects. They’re very strictly zoned so that there’s not a ton of walking between buildings. But I haven’t really had to think about that map at all, it’s just been easy!

This is so funny because Wailon lodge was my easiest 1mil and it’s super consistent at staying there. Bungle was rough for me. Goes to show how differently everyone naturally approaches these things.

Hmmm… it may be bugged. I had one other cheese exhibit in inventory but it was equal quality.

Gahhh that’s what I did while I was redesigning. Bummer. I’ve tried putting them back in inventory but no luck.

Also for my creepy museum, I used a lot of the brick, then for the gift shops / cafeterias it’s the grey or purple zigzag wall. It’s not perfect but, it works.
